Which series deserves a prequel Transformers prime: I want to see the origins of Optimus and megatron it would interesting to see their relationship before the war Transformers animated:I want to see the war between ultra magnus and megatron Beast wars: it would be cool to see how the predacons were treated and to see what happened after the war Cyberverse: I really want to see megatron go through the multi verse and killing people
Beast Wars but would most like a prequel for Transformers G1 cartoon, like more detail on the end of the golden age and more details about the start and early beginnings of the war that had Megatron and Optimus Prime and how then the need to search for new energy sources away from Cybertron.
I don't think I would want a prequel to anything, because it would once again be mainly about Optimus and Megatron, and as you know, I'm sick and tired of seeing them everywhere. However, if there was a prequel series, I would prefer if it would focus on lesser known characters before they became an active part of the Great War. More underused characters like Nightbeat, Hot Rod, Quake, Blitzwing, Siren, Nautica, etc. What happened to them in their daily lives? Did they try to live normal lives even while the war raged, or did the war ruined their lives in ways that left them incredibly traumatized or with a shattered conscience, or did they manage to press on despite their misfortune? Again, I really feel that there are characters who truly need more exposure instead on just focusing on the entire same set of characters that get used in every single show. Still, I don't think a prequel series would work (at least for me), because predictably, Hasbro would want Optimus and Megatron to be the center stage, and I really don't want that.
I guess I have mainly watched the original cartoon dozens of times and not much else relating to Transformers, but I can see where you are coming from. For a similar reason, I would just have Starscream as pretty much a background character. Bearing that in mind, regarding events at of the end of the Golden Age, it would be interesting for me if a series gave a proper origin story for many the likes of Blitwing, seekers, Shockwave, Soundwave, the Renegade Decepticons as well as many other Autobots who had prominent roles in the original cartoon. But maybe see the likes of Megatron from the other Deceptions point of view. Would love to see what happened to the previous Decepticon leader before Megatron. On Optimus, I would love to see the war develop and cities fall to the Decepticons and Optimus has significant moments of doubt like Rodimus had. I think it would be nice to see more about the characters that maybe appeared alot in the show but never said or did that much, Thundercracker would be a good example in my opinion.
I actually don't mind Starscream because he still retains that charm that makes him so special (plus, he always has been a favorite of mine and I always preferred him over Megatron), whereas with Optimus and Megs... well, they kinda overstayed their welcome IMO. Yeah, I wouldn't mind to focus on the point of view of the other Decepticons, but I really hope that there's minimal Megatron. And yes, I think it might be a good idea to show more about Thundercracker and those minor guys. Though I do feel that a character that absolutely needs screentime is Skids, because he only appears for like two episodes and has one line in each, so I think it might be good if they showed more of him.
Thinking about Starscream some more in a prequel, I think a spotlight episode would be good, say Starscream gets back to Cybertron (from Earth after Skyfire is lost) and finds the place is pretty much in turmoil and joins the Decepticons but maybe is never really accepted by his peers and vows to lead them one day, or something like that. But in a prequel series, there would be stronger traitors at that time, thus Starscream can be in the background, just too much bickering with Megatron in the original series for my liking. Agree, seeing more of Skids would be good. I would kind of like to see a lot more of Skids in a series 2.5. I would love to know his fate as he was never seen after Triple Takeover, maybe he could have a heroic last stand.
I'd like to see a prequel of the G1 animated series that expands on Five Faces of Darkness' Matrix vision that Rodimus had. The Quintessons building Cybertron, the consumer goods and military hardware lines rebelling, and the tragedy when the civil wars start.
i would kill myself if hasbro starts another prequel about megatron's ascention as a miner turned revolutionary and optimus Prime's journey as a clerk/cop to leader. i mean, we already have idw1, idw2, wfc games, netflix wfc.
