All these are legitimate superhero movies that may have actually been made, if not for other issues that got in the way. Their legitimacy is courtesy of Wikipedia (yes, Burton and Bay were actually considered to work on a SUPERMAN film).

They all sound interesting and great, even Burton’s Superman (it was probably the prototype of SUPERMAN RETURNS, but even in that sense it would have been interesting). But I think Bryan Singer’s X3 gets the top spot. That was the greatest missed opportunity EVER.

I never want Burton on a Superhero film again after Batman Returns.
Anyway, James Cameron's Spider-Man probably would've been neat.

Also, I kinda want Kevin Smith's Superman. :p

James Cameron's Spiderman would have been THE 90s movie.

X3 because the one we got I probably the weakest movie in the series.
I also would like to see Cameron's Spider-Man.

Bryan Singer's X-Men, especially considering how awful Last Stand was.

Bryan Singer's X-men 3 would have been awesome. He set up the Phoenix saga really well in X2 and then Brett Ratner just ruined it in X3. I'm so happy that Singer is back for X-men: Days of Future Past.

James Cameron is one of my favorite directors, but I've heard things about his Spider-man movie that I'm not sure I want to see. I heard there was a rape scene in the script. I would have loved to see him or Kathryn Bigelow direct an X-men movie like what they originally wanted to do before Cameron was attached to Spider-man.

A good X-Men 3 would have been fantastic. Superman Returns was totally not a fair trade-off.

Also, if anyone votes for Tim Burton's Superman it's only because they don't know what it would have been like.

If anyone doesn't know what that is let me sum it up for them. Nicholas Cage as Superman and an alien Lex Luthor.

Give Schumacher another chance & you know Alfred & Gordon would have nipples on their suits as well. Just like Batgirl, you know Harly wouldn't have nipples on her suit.

I'm surprised so many people are voting for Raimi's Spider-man 4. He was going to make Felicia Hardy the Vulture's daughter, the Vulturess, instead of Black Cat.
