Tell us what old/bad movie needs a remake and upped to the next level Personally, I think Teenage mutant ninja turtles! I dont want that animated stuff I want the SUITS one! That was EPOCH TMNT (the newest one) was fking terrible
ninja rap was awesome and all but really that was the suit version apex. refuse to watch the third and the live action tv series was meh. but arent they talking about making a new suit version anyways?
Yes, they are. Thread is off to a great start. Also the CGI movie was fucking awesome. I swear some of you on here have the absoloute worst taste I have ever encountered on the internet.
I want a comedy version of The Wizard of Oz made by Judd Apatow!! Seth rogen as the lion, Paull rudd as the scarecrow, Bill hader as the tin man! michael cera, jonah hill and mclovin as the munchkins it would be hilarious least i think so anyway
Joke topic right? Right....? Yeah remakes are the bane of Hollywood, rarely has any good come of an outright remake (I will admit one of my favorite films of all time, The Thing, is technically a remake/readaptation). So I say..none.
where does it stop being a remake and become a reimagining or whatever like 300, there is an old version of that filmcant remember the exact name the 300 spartans or somethin, so is zack snyders a remake or a reimagining..
I have no idea, not seen either movie or read the book, but given it's Frank Miller I would imagine there is very little crossover other than Spartans.
Fahrenheit 451. I remember reading the book in school and thinking that it'd make a pretty badass movie, then we watched the movie...which was made in 1966. Needless to say, it needs an update with today's imagineering (term borrowed from Walt Disney ). IMDB has it listed as "in development", so hopefully something good comes of it.
They should remake whatever two old classic horror movies they ahve yet to butcher.. ya know just to complete the set
Fuck it, i'm gonna add something to the thread apart from wanting to say "no more remakes" Blade 2. You have an outstanding first movie that creates a lot of intrigue and an enjoyable story, then they fuck it up in the worst possible way. They could have done soooooo much for a sequel but instead they went with the shit thing of being all best mates with the enemy to kill a new enemy, yawn. Edit: I wanna expand on it. I wish they covered in more detail Blade's backstory especially with Whistler, and him growing up in the way that he did - surely he made other enemies during that time or even his presense in the Chezch Republic at the end of the first, like his new enemy was there. What happened to the Doctor, did they find a cure for Blade or find a way to truly control his thirst? They created questions I would have liked seen expanded upon further. Also the soundtrack of Blade >>>>>>>>> Blade 2
Gojira. Set in Japan in 1954, with an entirely Japanese cast, save for Raymond Burr's character in Godzilla who could provide an American perspective and a photo-realistic CG Goji. Think "Memoirs of a Geisha" meets Godzilla. They need to go back to the original idea. He wasn't a superhero, he wasn't a supervillain, he was stone cold horror. You have to understand that after having two atomic bombs dropped on them, the Japanese were scared crazy about what had happened to their world around them, i.e. nature. They are very superstitious people, so the "what have we done to nature?" mentality and seeing nature rise up and literally begin a campaign of obliteration is scarier than Jason walking around the corner with a machete. Actually, before he was designed as a dinosaur, he was designed as a monster resembling a mushroom cloud. Make Goji scary again. And after seeing GMK, it's not impossible by any means. His freaked-out eyes gave me chills. This is an excellent example of what I'm talking about. Except, make him eerie. YouTube - Always 2 - Godzilla full CGI
Except if Raymond Burr's character is in it, it isnt a remake of Gojira, its a remake of Godzilla: King of the Monsters. They came across as VERY different films to me. (yes, I'm feeling pedantic)
No, keep it Gojira, with an American just happening to be in it in a small role. Gojira is a far superior film than that horrible re-edit. Having an American present just makes it more relatable for American audiences.
Super Mario Bros. replace all the ploit and actors with Mike Myers as Mario,Jim Carry as Luigi,Miley Cyrus as Peach,Lee Tockar as Bowser (CGI this time), & Frank Welker as Yoshi (aslo CGI).
Why would Mike Myers (46) be trying to save Miley Cyrus (16)? Peach was Mario's damsel in distress, not rebellious teenaged daughter.
