I've decided there's only room for one liveaction movie Megatron in my display, but can't decide which I should go with. Help me decide
I'll take a fifth option, and suggest the (as yet unreleased) Unite for the Universe RotF Megatron. Great deco and very accurate according to the pictures, and the overall look of the mold and poseability is probably the best of all the Megatron toys. Only downsides are the scale and the backpack. I personally like the backpack and the wings it gives him, the scale is all in the eye of the beholder.
Shadow Command Megs is pretty cool. I would say he is the best of the bunch released so far. His silver bits don't look as cheap as the other ROTF Version. Also, the first movie Megs is okay at best. He doesn't stand perfectly and unless you have the premium, he also looks cheap because of the grey plastic.
I picked ROTF Normal Leader Megs. Hes not THAT bad, however at this point if you don't have one now, I would say wait until next summer and see what TF3 brings for Megatron.
This is my vote too. Though Movie Megatron toys have failed twice in a row now so I can't say my hopes are too incredibly high for the 3rd movie toy
I voted the fourth option, but I agree with most of the people here that you should get ROTF Voyager Megatron. He's probably the best movie Megatron we have so far. If you absolutely have to get a leader Megatron of some sort without paying an over the top price, then get ROTF Leader Megatrion. There are many stores out there that have him (and Shadow Command Megatron) on sale for about $35. Shadow Command Megatron is pretty cool looking, but he is not very movie accurate if you want to go for accuracy. I won't really recommend the first movie Megs, but you can find a used one for dirt cheap on Ebay (or BBTS if they get him in stock). You can also find a Premium one for just a little more than the original.
If they don't redesign the onscreen character significantly, AND Hasbro decides to take another NEW pass at the toy, you've got a pretty good chance of finally getting a solid Megatron. Although the lack of paint, and Rocklord syndrome continue to make this a toy that really requires far more parts than hasbro may ever bother to give it.
