I just put together Fansproject Bruticus Maximus. I had bought a Munitioner and Explorer but never ended up putting them together with the Bruticus Maximus parts I had. I sold the first Crossfire add on set before I had a chance to mess with it ( I am very busy with work and children). I just bought another set and decided to give it a go last night. Really awesome toy and not hard to assemble at all. I really like how much better it looks as he is very G1 like now and it really is one of the best I have ever had a chance to mess with. I look forward to upgrading more of my figures.

I bought a City Commander V2 set and plan on giving that a crack later today.

What is your favorite 3rd party product?

Only one I have is Fansproject Blesser, which I love because of the colors and I'm just a big fan of Targetmasters.

I have one coming in the mail next week. Hopefully I dig it. Any idea who he goes with?

FP Bruticus for making something special out of a turd.

This will be replaced soon with Hercules.

I am also a fan of MMC HoS series and hope it goes beyond Commander and Cyclops. I know they have the Insecticons and Seekers planned but I would also like Megatron and Bumblebee and perhaps a couple Autobots to even the ranks.

While I have a whole lot of pieces, the one that I play with the most (desk toy) would be PE guys.

I can't believe I missed the PE guys. They always grab my focus, and being so tiny and mixed in with 1000 bots that is saying a lot.

I love SFX and the rest are just needed to make the absent Soundwave feel complete.

Yeah, the PE guys are just fun to be the toy that you mess with, You are not gonna mess with Bruticus once you put him on display, yanno. Or maybe you do, but I want something small in my hands when I am doing other things.

FP Bruticus. Definitely my favorite combiner and he looks awesome, especially with the Reprolabels sticker sets for that extra bit of detail!

PE-11 Scouting Force X remains the definitive Reflector to me and look awesome posed with their weapons at the ready.

Thundershred looks great all posed up too and I love that he's a ninja with giant blades and star(s). Stormbomb is still in my PoL and haven't shipped yet but will soon once Backfiery drops too. Then the Insecticons will be a-go!

I'm also getting TFC Hercules (mainly for the individual bots but will combine now and then - none in hand yet but have preordered) and MakeToys Giant (so FP Bruticus won't be so lonely and I can reenact part of Starscream's Brigade XD). Devastator's cool and all but seriously doubt he'll replace Bruticus as my fave any time soon.

I do have FP CC add-on set (still MISB with the upgrades) and Classics Ultra Magnus. Still 50/50 on whether or not I'll keep it (just depends on if anyone will buy it). Was never much a UM fan but damn if the fully armored up figure look good in pictures (and from a toy engineering standpoint) and is tempting me to open it up!

The money would be nice to fund Hercules but I'm not hurting financially anyway. I'm just afraid keeping FP CC UM would open up the flood gates for me to grab Kup, Blurr, Wreckgar, Wheelie, FP Warbot Defender, and MTG-1 Delicate Warrior when I never had any desire at all to collect the G1 movie cast before (aside from MP-08 Grimlock, whom I already have and love). Problem being I hate Hot Rod / Rodimus Prime (as a character; his toys are hit and miss for me aesthetically) so that would be a conflict of interest, lol.

I love Bruticus, not only because he's absolutely a stunning display piece, but also because he makes something so stupid looking in my mind (sorry, but the translucent hands/feet/weapons are godawful) totally badass.

I also am loving the FP Insecticons. Having them re-imagined as ninjas is conceptual genius to me. Plus, they give you pretty good bang for the buck (as far as 3rd party toys goes) at $50 a pop for durable/super posable deluxe sized figures.

The new 3rd party Wheelie is my favorite at the moment. Strange, I know.

Before him it was Reflector and/or Bruticus.

Fansproject Bruticus. Easily. Long story short: Turns the mediocre Bruticus Maximus set into a FANTASTIC Classics update.

The two unique Scout limbs are great renditions/updates to the G1 Combaticons. The weapons addons help buff up most if not all the members... and the absolute best part, ALL the parts have storage and/or use in any mode.

It's by far the best Fansproject kit out there. I've got the Aerial Addon kit, and it does quite a bit to improve the Superion set, but some armaments are awkward in the non-gestalt modes.

The Ultra Magnus upgrade kit makes a good UM Upgrade, but he's a bit hard to pose, quite bulky, and doesn't have a functional trailer. Oh, and that Giant blaster is goofy, especially since he can't hold it up well.

Agreed - and I'm not ashamed to admit it. :D

Prior to that it was Knight Morpher Annihalator.
