I'm torn. I like the voyager bludgeon but the deluxe fits in better with my other classics. I'm getting the HR upgrade as well and I dont know which one I like best. I might just get the deluxe and try them both and see what happens. Which is your definitive bludgeon? Deluxe or voyager?
Voyager for me, mostly cuz it was designed from the get go to BE bludgeon. Tho i admit the deluxe one does look nice. Especially with the upcoming add on kit
I think the voyager just looks more like Bludgeon, I actually use the TRU DLX one as one of his troops. Also with the blood add on it just become no question.
Bludgeon SHOULD be a tank, and well, the Voyager is a tank. The deluxe just doesn't cut it for me, if you know what I mean.
I use the Voyager because he's simply everything Bludgeon ever was and more. Samurai skeleton robot mode? Check. Tank alt. mode? Double check (Type 90 Jap. tank from WWII! Much more appropriate than whatever the inner robot used to be). Colors? Check. Essentially, as Josh put it, the Voyager is 100% Bludgeon with all the stupid bits removed (like the pretender gimmick, who remembers what Bludgeon's inner robot even looked like?) and then given an overhaul to look better in every way, including actually giving him swords (because a Samurai without swords never made any sense, y'know). I even like the stock head, myself, keeps the skull head while also making it look like a real life Samurai mask that looks like a skull and conceals the real face underneath (since according to the voyager's bio, the TRU exclusive Bludgeon is the same as the Voyager, but Whirl kicked his ass as a deluxe so Bludgeon upgraded to a voyager to make up for it)
Deluxe? .... Oh, that. I much prefer the original, unnervingly Megatron-esque Wreckage deco. Fun mold, but definitely NOT befitting Bludgeon. Can't beat the skeletal samurai Japanese tank who's cannon is also a sword.
The ROTF Voyager, because it has the samurai look of the G1 Pretender yet transforms into a kickass tank. The Headrobots upgrades really take it to the next level in much the same way as the iGear heads do for Generations Kup.
Voyager for now, but I don't really like how it looks. Once HR gets their DLX Blood set out, the Deluxe will take its rightful place on the Classics shelf as a superior toy.
