THESE ARE MY OPINIONS, DEAL WITH IT.... =-)

    1. Transformers: Generation 1 - The Best
The Reason : Because it where it started and you could love everyone in the show..... Well not Beachcomber and Wheelie but thats about it!
We would not love Optimus Prime, Megatron, Starscream, Ironhide, and so on in every series if we didn't get this Optimus Prime, Megatron, Starscream, Ironhide, and so on.... I made my point there.

    2. Transformers Animated - Should be loved by all Transformers Fans PERIOD.
The Reason : The fact that they give a shot at another Transformers series is great and this in fact was one of the best Transformers series out there..... It try to get parts from G1 and Beast wars and mix them with amazing stories.... And it sucks that it was canceled because so many people said "It not good, the animation sucks BLAH BLAH BLAH".... How about SHUT UP next time.... And if Transformers Prime doesn't get a good Start, then that series is doomed as well.

    3. Transformers: Armada - Should not be under rated because it great!
The Reason : This is what got me in to transformers, the stories for each episode was good, there was like at least 5 bad episodes but that was it.... The story got better and better when Sideways showed up... Alot was going on, the kids were very annoying though.... And the Starscream story was very well done....

    4. Transformers: Robots in Disguise - Started bad at first but GET SOOO GOOD!
The Reason : When I watched the first episode I was like "Wtf is this?" and I went on here and asked if this series get any good and is it worth to watch... And they said after 14 episode it will get good.... And the people of TFW were not lieing, it god a great story and come on.... Who the best shark around?!?!?! SKY-BYTE THATS HIM!

    5. Transformers: Victory - The name fits the series... Because infact it was a victory for Japan.
The Reason : The fact that they had REAL transformers this time around instead of humans caughted me... Star Saber is as good as Optimus prime and Deathsaurus is as good as Megatron! Plus the theme kicks ass!
But what made me really happy is when Ginrai died!
I hate Ginrai forever and forever.

    6. Transformers: The Headmasters - HEAD ON!
The Reason : It will never be as good as G1 but it was still a fun series... But they killed off Optimus Prime too fast.

    7. Beast Wars - Dam fun to watch and funny at times.
The Reason : CGI was perfect, loved that G1 was part of the series, they had some great Transformers, and had great stories and it was a different but cool step in transformers history... Yessssss.....

    8. Beast Machines - It was ok but its wayyy different from beast wars.
The Reason : I really like that they were on Cybertron but the story had some part that were stupid.... but I must say, Megatron is still my favorite as he was in Beast Wars.

    9. Transformers: Cybertron - It was ok!
The Reason : It had a good story mixed with some Dragonball Z, but I have to admit the story got boring at some points and some of the Autobots and Decepticons had weird voices.

    10. Transformers: Energon - It started ok but got out of control after a bit.
The Reason : There was basically one good episode and that episode had to be Distribution.... But CGI really f*cked up the series.

    11. Transformers: Zone - It wasn't a good way to end G1 but it had its moments.
The Reason : With Star Saber get killed from a exploding planet.... But the upside is that Devastator, Menasor, Bruticus, Trypticon, Predaking, Abominus, King Poseidon are in this.... But they have changed alot over time.... Mostly Trypticon.... But I'm going to say Dai Atlas has a dam cool design but just wasn't a Optimus Prime or Star Saber.

    12. Beast Wars II - It had its moments.
The Reason : It was a bad attempt at continuing the Beast wars saga... But the designs were cool.... Plus the movie was pretty good, basically that was the good part of the series.

    13. Beast Wars Neo - It had its moments.
The Reason : It was a bad attempt at continuing the Beast wars saga... But the designs were cool.

    14. Transformers: Generation 2 - Didn't like that much.
The Reason : Its got very annoying fast.... Why didn't they just Show G1 and shut up with this crap....

    15. Transformers: Super-God Masterforce - The Worst
The Reason : Well, I really get pissed off by the fact that Humans are controlling the Transformers..... I only like one part of the show and that was King Poseidon!
Ginrai is not a Optimus Prime and if they wanted to do this, HOW ABOUT THEY USES SOMEONE ELSES AND NOT OPTIMUS!
Yes the animation was great, the music, and the designs BUT THATS IT..... To me a show should have a good story and I hate the story completely and I hate Ginrai soooooo much, its not funny....
I hope something like this never repeats.

I think Beast Wars and Beast Machines were the best shows so far. Animated was great too, too bad it got rushed.
I'm okay with the rest, though Armada-Energon-Cybertron were pretty horrible.
G1 cartoon is sorta okay. Although there are some episodes which caused me physical pain.

    For me:

    Beast Wars - The Best
    Animated
    Beast Machines
    RiD
    Masterforce
    Headmasters
    Victory
    Generation 1
Armada/Energon/Cybertron - Tied for joint worse. Armada for its stretched out stand offs and 'uhhs' and other assorted grunts. Energon for trying, but spoiling it with bland, slack jawed cel shaded CGI and plodding story and Cybertron for its never ending transformation sequences. really. how often did we need to see optimus transform in 22 minutes? awful, repetitve nonsense. shaming.

I haven't seen any of the Japanese BW shows, but they sound like they're similar in tone to RiD/ Car Robots.

That's it. Beast Wars and Beast Machines set the standard, especially for writing. Every other TF show I've seen I've not really cared that much for - I hold the same lack of fondness for each of them. To be fair I do have a certain nostalgic affection for G1 having watched the same 8 episodes over and over as a kid on VHS from the local video store, but at the end of the day it was quite poor really.

I never saw any of Energon and Cybertron (they were always on earlier than I cared to be awake on a weekend when I was in my teens), nor the various Japanese series.

Energon is still my least favourite. First half was decent, marred by some poor translation and incomplete animation, but it at least progressed a decent pace and the story was interesting.

Second half, oh dear, it's like they realised they had burned through too much story too fast so slowed right up on the new solar system arc. Had its moments, though. Then they had the truly awful final 12 set on Cybertron. The whole series though was hurt badly with a lot of interesting setup that never went anywhere. Demolishor - killed, resurrected as an idiot. Friendship / rivalry with Ironhide - forgotten. Starscream - potential never realised. Megatron - they could have done so much more with his evolution and Sideways-style powers, but they got minimal screentime.

I usually recommend to anyone watching the trilogy to stop at 26-27 an go straight to Cybertron. You lose nothing in connecting plot between shows and 26 ends with a stronger setup for the plot of Cybertron than the actual finale.

Best - depends on my mood. Love Beast Wars, enjoy Animated, even (despite having fairly primitive animation in places) Masterforce. Probably one out of those three at most times. All three have great characters with depth and interesting stories.

    Best: Animated

Worst: any of the ones made in Japan (the horrible voice acting and dialogue in the English dubbed versions burned my ears!)

psst G1 was animated in Japan so does that count? I think animated was animated in Japan too...
