Diaclone, right? I was 8 back then and don't remember seeing any Gobots until TFs were already out.

He's referring to "Diakron", the short-lived official Takara-helmed US release of a few Diaclone figures (Powerdashers plus red Sunstreaker, blue Trailbreaker and black Ironhide).

After all the weird Japanese misspellings of American words and names over the years, it's even more weird that we had such a needless misspelling of a Japanese name that was just an amalgam of two English words to begin with.

I never heard of Diakron , I was 9 back then and I know that Gobots came before Transformers, but did Diakron get here before Gobots?

Not to mention the OMG HILARIOUS mistransposing of the English EL sound into a hard R sound, lol.

    Too ridiculous!

I'd never heard of this wave of releases for the molds, btw. Very interesting!

Cool to see that, in a way, the Michael Bay films actually returned Iron Hide to his ORIGINAL color scheme, as opposed to the generally accepted view of them having misrepresented his LITERALLY "redneck" G1 self.
