TF1 because it had a magical spark to it, we met the characters and I began to love them especially Bee.
TF2 because it was funny and brutal
TF3 because there was dozens of Transformers and brutal fights, all in all DOTM was my faviorite.

    It depends:

As a movie? TF 2007 was better.
As a TRANSFORMERS story? DOTM was better.

I enjoyed DOTM the most with TF07 coming in a close second followed by ROTF at a distant third.

Hmm.... I think dotm wins out for me. As much as i enjoyed thed first movie i just overall like dotm better. I like the story more, the characters, and the action especially!

I think all the movies have their shining moments but dotm wins supreme to me

Transformers 1 will always be the best. Even though DOTM had great moments it still doesn't beat 1.

Probably have to go with TF3 here. While of course it took TF1 to set up all the characters, I liked the pacing, variety of characters, plot, absence of shaky cam, toned down (and actually funny) humor, suspense build up, action sequences and dialogue of TF3 better. It took me a couple of viewings to finally appreciate TF1 since I didn't like it at all the first time I saw it, and I still think it gets hella boring in many parts. And TF2... don't really have one good word to say about that mess.

Transformers Dark of the Moon barely beats Transformers for me. I really like the first one, but the third one involved more Transformers and I enjoyed the story more

DOTM for me. The highway chase scene is one of the best filmed...even if some of the footage was recycled! lol

    #3.

#1 probably still had a more solid story and final put together product, but I had more fun with DOTM. Also for some reason..the CG in #1 feels more real than ROTF and DOTM somehow. I don't know why, but in the first movie it's just spotless, while in the other two you can kind of tell it's CG in some parts.

I think DOTM was the best out of the three. But personally, I enjoyed ROTF more than I did the first one. Shame on me, I guess. :p

TF1 had a great feeling like an old Amblin Entertainment story. In those you had an ordinary kid have something extraordinary happen to them, and that was what happened in TF1. Sam was somewhat ordinary, though a bit spazzy.

I will admit that the reason that one works the best is probably because Spielberg was adamant about story. It felt that 'The Beard' became more of an onlooker when it came to the sequels.

Yeah, this is exactly how I feel. TF1 felt more magical or something. The Autobots arriving to Earth. Sam buying Bumblebee alt mode at Bobby B's, Bumblee signalling for the Autobots at night, The Decepticons talking Cybertronian, Barricade, etc. etc. I really do like DOTM, but TF1 has a certain magic to it, and it's not overdone, it's just the right amount of everything I think, except for the humour ofcourse. Maybe we got spoiled after TF1 or something.

But seeing the Autobots arrive in those comet forms, and transforming for the first time. Man, for me personally one of the biggest and greatest moments in cinema ever.

TF1 and DOTM are tied. I like them both equally, but for different reasons.

Glad I'm not the only one who feels that TF1 just has something that the other two don't. Just the whole overall tone of the movie feels different.
I liked DOTM alot, but I think TF1 is the better movie. Even with the boring hacker crap.

TF1 is the only one that I can feel comfortable letting my 7 and 8 year old nephews watch.
