Hello Boards,

Recently I've been faced with a difficult decision in picking up a transformer. I only have money for ONE, and a few 'bots caught my eye. AOE Hound, AOE Crosshairs, and TF The Ride Deluxe Evac, not only are they my favorite characters, but they're just in the right price range($25-30, Crosshairs being the cheapest on Amazon for about $16). After extensively reading and watching reviews on all three(Optibotimus being a real influence on what I buy) I can't seem to come to a final decision, so I've came to the boards for some input. Hopefully, you guys can help me.

 

Tossup between Hound and Evac. I'd say go for Evac for now, because I'm sure you'll be able to get Hound down the line at a discount. Evac is a park exclusive, so the price isn't likely to drop.

Funny that those 2 are at the opposite ends of the spectrum - Evac has no weapons, whereas Hound has all of them  

 

I wouldn't forget that Crosshairs is $10 at Walmart online.

I was originally planning to buy Hound, so that I have would some weapons for Evac when I'd eventually get him. But I've really been liking the way all three look (Including Hound, so that my ROTF Brawn has a war buddy).

Funny thing is, a Walmart isn't that far apart from where I live. I've been tempted to visit it after reading a news bulletin about it on Seibertron.

Hound blows the other two out of the water. Crosshairs is a good idea that wasnt executed very well with limited articulation, and evac is a pretty generic transformer, if it wasnt "exclusive" itd be pretty unremarkable otherwise. Hound is a great unique mold with a fun transformation and lots of weapons.

I'm guessing you don't have Evac? Because nothing about him is generic or unremarkable. I have a number of Transformers across the lines, across the years, and I can't recall any others that resemble this one, in style or transformation. The only two downsides I can say are no weapons and limited availability. Both are nitpicks, as he's a transport not a warrior, and I live close to Universal, so it's available to me.

 

Not only that, but I've found Evac for a fairly reasonable price on the Universal Orlando store online for half the price he's sold for on Amazon(about $40-50, including shipping and handling).

 

Price match at target, no waiting.

 

Having shopped at Target for years, I've noticed the deluxes are now sold at the $15-20 range depending on which one I visit(one just down the street, the other out of town). Though my latest visit was months ago, when the Beast Hunters stuff was out. So to be safe, I'll see if I could price check from home 

 

Honestly he kind of reminded me of another dotm deluxe i cant remember the name of, it was one of the racecars. I wasnt crazy about him and I gave him away. Between the higher price for him + no accessories i think hound was a better value. Another thing that might be affecting it is the fact that i bought him online, and never went on the ride itself, but i dont see how the ride would make me like him more.

 

I'd go with Evac because he seems to be the hardest of those 3 to obtain.

Evac isnt really rare. You can get him on universal studios website for like 30 bucks shipped.

 

When the Wave 2 voyagers come in stock this might be your best bet if your still looking.

He's right, he's only there for $25. But I'm afraid Hound's price will slowly creep up till he's like $40 on Amazon (where I mostly buy my TF's).
