    What you said.

The fans should direct the next movie...by committee!

Fans directing movies? "AvP: Requiem" comes to mind.
    Pure fanfare, nothing more.

Not everyone wants to see 2+ hours of fanwankery.

But finally the tru fanz will get the movie they've been waiting for! Finally, the definitive Transformer movie that will be made!

The behind-the-scenes documentary recording the chaos that is sure to result would be epic.

Hmmm, yeah, how about "no"? Like, Omnius said, no one (especailly those not in the fandom loop) wants to see 2 hours of "fanwankery". That would be excluding a major viewing audience. To generalize, lets do something different instead of trying to Replicate Generation One (and Other FT-Continuities) episodes...

I hope it stays the same. Bay/Orci/Kurtzman. But does it really matter? There will always be haters waiting to pounce on anything they don't like about the next movie.

I don't think I'd want Mann on TF. Public Enemies was boring and long, though I loved Heat, Ali and Collateral. I think he wouldn't spend enough time on the action.

I say keep Bay, but bring Spielberg in more. Actually, I think I just want Bay to handle the action sequences, other than James Cameron and the Wachowski's noone's on his level with action. My 'realistic dream' would be...

    Director: Steven Spielberg
Action Sequences and cinematography: Michael Bay
Writers: Orci, Kurtzman, and Simon Furman.

Orci and Kurtzman can keep it from becoming too "Furmanesque" while Simon would bring the motivations and history of TF to the script.

In my dream, however, the script I'm writing with my buddy would get picked, and we would close the trilogy with a bang.

    Director: Tom Hanks/Steven Spielberg

Writers: Ceasar121, Lunchbox, and Simon Furman

    Sure about that, are ye?

If Bay decides to walk, I say make an honest effort to get Spielberg back, this time in the director's chair. As for the writers, I don't mind Orci and Kurtzman - hopefully Spielberg would rein them back in a bit, though.

The team we have now is fine, but if one had to change over the other, I'd rather keep the writers. It's painfully obvious that just about everything that made the collective blood pressure of the fans rise was something Bay insisted on. I like the 'splosions as much as the next guy, and some humor is fine, but I think without Orci and Kurtzman argueing for the fans a third Bay installment would be just irritating to watch.

James Cameron or Ridley Scott: The tw master sci-fi directors of our time should have directed this great sci-fi opera from the start.

the day simon furman touches a movie is the day I leave the fandom. dont need his self-hating, depressed emo prime and grimlock worship on the big screen.

I say Ridley scott or james Cameron. :)

I agree totally these are two directors who understand sci fi and how to handle it properly with weight and substance.

If either of these two made a transformers movie you would all be cursing michael bay for the blasphemy that TF2 was.

Seriously no more michael bay if you want him to come back you either a didnt watch rotf or you have a thing for getting abused over and over again.

The man wouldn't even let Optimus say "Transform and roll out" instead it was just Roll out lol. God Bay is such an Ahole.

Umm dont look now but he is credited for ROTF and was consulted on it I believe. At Hasbro someone thinks he is the end all be all of TF lore. god help us all
