I think Optimus Prime death in ROTF was pretty unnecessary They killed him too early and Megatron kicked his ass too easily and when he came back he kicked Megatron and The Fallen ass with a help of few spare parts
Sideways' death was ridiculous. I thought it was pointless and was interested in his role in the movie

I think Optimus in this movie had even less screentime than in the first movie. Talk about taking a step back! At least give us some interesting bots to follow if your not going to really show the new guys.
Yep and less time to annoying pointless human characters. Sam, Mikaela, Sam's Dad and Simmons are great - everyone else less so.
Only Jazz's death really annoyed me since we don't get to know his character enough to care for a heroic sacrifice. Ironhide should have died defending the humans he initially disliked in the first film. I knew Megatron and Optimus would return following their deaths: the rest of the Decepticons killed in the films haven't been well characterized enough even for me to wish they'd return, although this may because many of them are generics (the Blackouts, Bonecrushers, Constructicons, Frenzy/Alice/Scalpel, wouldn't be surprised if Ravage and Brawl were cloned in TF3).
Yeah, I don't think you can class Skorponok as 'useless'. He was just under-used totally in ROTF, as were most of the Transformers.
i thought Scorponok was really cool in the films. I like Jazz. just not in the Transformers film. he was annoying. it made his annoyance all worth while when he got ripped in half. i laughed and said "that was great".. i'm kinda glad he was annoying. cause his death wouldn't have been as entertaining. it's one of my favorite parts of the film...
No, no, no, i mean as in he actually has characteristics other than just shooting and stabbing people. He still didn't do much if you ask me, so he jumped into ONE scene in the sequel just to sneak attack Jetfire, wounding him only. Jetfire killed himself by pulling his spark out to help Prime who was in a weakened state after the Fallen removed the Matrix from his chest.
i was mad about Prime in ROTF the way Megatron snuck on him. i hate that! I dont like sneak attacks. Jazz in 07 movie. He was the coolest one! He didn't deserve to die!
