I'm not sure on which chest plate to use for my generic Devy. I like the first pic cause it has a more G1 look to it.I like the second one cause it looks like a chest sheild and helps protect Longhaul a little more. What says you?

The reason the first one is paint and the second isn't,is cause i've got a bad habit of painting first and doing redesigns on the spot.Just like Bonecrusher, hes primed and ready to paint.....i just forgot to attach the arm and now i'm having to back track.....wow,that got off topic fast.....

What does everyone think on the chest plates? or should i make a new one?

I like the first one since it has a more G1 look. My only suggestion would be to bulk up that middle part and extend it down a bit with other parts (it also looks just a bit crooked in the photo). Overall, it looks good, man.

That should be easy enough,i've got a box of parts for the job.It might look crooked for 2 reasons...1)the whole thing is crooked or the Lego peg holding it on.Its not attached yet.I'm tryng to get into the habit of check, fit and recheck before i paint.

That was the reason i like the first one too,the G1 look it had.I tried to not make it to long(side-side)so i could have max movement with the arms.I have them on ball joints. Thanks for the tips dude.

I find the first one more G1 if that's what you're looking for - but I like the second one better, more original in design. Also, maybe allow more than 90 min before commenting on the lack of responses ;)

I like the second one more if the center section didn't protrude down as much. maybe split the difference? I'm just the type that likes to see some new take on something original, and not a straight remake.
Either way, I like the pieces you used for the wing tips. It reminds me of drills or something.

I'm leaning more towards the second one too. With everybody doing/has done a classic Devy,I'm trying not to use anyone elses pics for refrenece(outside the bots to use),hoping i can come up with something alittle different.

I found the wing tips in my sons lego box.Hell, the whole chest(minus a sheet of styrene to give support across the back of it)is made out of lego parts.
