i already have the transmetals megatron, but i want to get the other megatron before he went transmetal im not sure wether to get the 10th anniversary re-release with a better paint job and different head sculpt or the remodeled upgraded version of him where his tail does come off and he has a hand and has the cyber key which of the two is better?
I like the TRU one (10th?) best. There was another thread about this not too long ago, perhaps try searching for it. Many opinions were given.

TakaraTomy's Beast Wars DX version without the fat-faced head remould. The only thing to look out for is the wash over the beast mode. It varies in intensity.
In my opinion, the remolded new head version is better than the all new deluxe mold version. The articulation on the old one isn't perfect per se, but he's very large and imposing, a real visual treat. The smaller one is skinny with somewhat loose leg joints. The fact that he can remove his tail weapon doesn't make him that much better, it just gives him a very small arm.
The 10th anniversary voyager BW Megatron,I'd reccommend. I'd also seriously reccommend the 10th anniversary deluxe size new mold BW Megatron. it's a really awesome mode in both forms.
Yeah, the Dawn of Future's Past one that's a retool of Cybertron Defense Red Alert. Personally, though, I'd recommend the 10th anniversary retool of the original figure. I have that one and it's nicely done.
I'm in the minority, but I like the original ultra class T-Rex Megatron more than any of the remakes of him.
