The movies have a tendency to kill off the older cast to make way for newer ones and add tension. So which AOE Autobot do you think will die in this movie, if any?
The only one that I believe is safe in this one will be Bee. I still think he could die and be brought back in the same movie as we all know he getting his own movie. But I think all other Autobots have potential to be killed off in this one, even Optimus.
It's probably going to be Hound. We barely see him in filming, seemingly disappearing after a certain point in the movie and we see a completely immobile prop of what is likely him laying down. In fact, one image shows TRF forces apparently gunning down a Transformer. Hound and Bumblebee were seen in a chase with TRF forces, Hooligan, Onslaught and Mohawk, from what I recall. That may be unrelated, however, since I believe the headless prop was in a different location than the shootout. Bumblebee and Optimus are in a fight and one is likely to die. Considering that the new Knight has "gold armor", Bumblebee is extremely popular, and there is going to be a new Prime, my money is on Optimus biting it. Drift may die, too, because from what I hear his voice actor is in poor health, sad to hear. Crosshairs doesn't have many differences from his previous appearance, which is can be seen as a mark of death, but compared to the other two, Drift and Crosshairs seem unlikely to die.
Would give a lot of weight to OP being evil and possibly killing someone or a few someones while in this state. Imagine how he would feel if he's somehow turned back into himself just to find out he's killed a few Autobots while he was evil? That would decimate Optimus!
a while ago i predicted drift would be killed off in the first 30 minutes of the film..im still gonna stay with that prediction... before the trailer i would have said everyone but bumblebee is at risk of being killed but now ill have to include him as well and say every autobot's chances are 50/50 to make it out..prime, a little less decepticons, obviously megatron & barricade ill put at 10%, the rest, less than 1% of all the surviving aoe autobots (not including the dinobots who will also more than likely suffer casualties) i say crosshairs has the best chance of surviving..hound risks going out like a hero like he almost did in AOE..if hound is seen transforming early he's as good as gone...crosshairs is in it for himself..that could keep him alive into part 6
I really feel like more than one Autobot will bite it this film. The contenders are definitely Hound and Crosshairs. However I do feel like they could pull a TF Prime and kill be anyway and have him come back, this time with a voice.
That's what I think will happen. I believe the scene where Bumblebee attacks Optimus is right after he kills an Autobot.
I have a feeling all the Autobots are going to get their arses kicked by Optimus I think one will die a BB will be severely hurt.
Drift, Crosshairs and Hound? That would be too good to be true. Although Hound grew on me. My money is on Drift.
It would be kinda hard to watch. They basically killed off everyone from DOTM with the exception of 3. What's to stop them from doing it again? I'd like to say Drift or Crosshairs but more but I could see Hound. They like to take out the muscle first.
I'm going to put my bet on Hound being the one to bite it this time. It seemed like the last movie spent more time with Hound than Drift or Crosshairs so that puts Hound as the disposable Autobot people would have the best connection with. He has a name connected with G1 and these movies love to kill off characters that share a name with a robot from G1. Plus people seem to just really like John Goodman from a lot of different roles so even if Hound wasn't your cup of tea there is still the oh no they killed off the robot voiced by John Goodman.
I put my money on Drift, Crosshairs, Hound, or Cogman. I don't think Hotrod will die due his roles in other continuities but this is a Michael Bay film so all bets are off.
Optimus is definitely not going to bite it, especially not to Bumblebee. A little thing called 1986 insures that he will never get permanently killed off again because Hasbro don't want to recreate that incident. That's why they kill off Optimus for emotional effect but revive him before the children can get upset. Before anyone brings up Prime, RiD2015 in the works around that time I believe. So the writers already had the full intent to revive Optimus. As for who I think is going to die, I really don't want any of AOE Autobots to die just yet to get more time with them. Though it's sad because either one of them gets killed off or we get a newcomer killed off. There's also a chance a generic nobody gets killed off but that would be taking a step backwards and that would be annoying. So if I had to pick a few I would say Hound and that red car. Hound has been barely seen and the red car doesn't seem to have much focus on him. I would also say Drift due to Ken Wantabe's health but he seemed to appear quite a bit during filming. There's also the fact that RiD2015 might help keep Drift alive for at least one more film.
