I'm considering selling one of each. No real need for duplicates anymore. I know Swerve, Decepticharge, and Meister used to be rare. Are they still? What about the red box alts that have been rereleased ( Tracks and Prowl )? Are they still worth more than the bubble pack releases?

Swerve is still pretty rare. So is Decepticharge. To me the red box versions ofTracks, Meister, and Prowl are worth more than the bubble packs.

This is just based on what I've seen.

If I had to suspect, I'd put them in this order of rarity:

    1) Swerve - One wave (I saw him twice on the shelf, which seems abnormal)
    2) Decepticharge - Saw him once on the shelf to be honest
    3) Dead End - A lot of people seemed to miss out on him and there was never a Meister/Tracks 'holy crap look what we found' case that got brought out.
    4) Tracks/Meister/Prowl (Red Boxes) - if only because the red boxes are done

And if I don't see Rollbar/Ricochet soon I'll be putting them on the list because I don't wanna miss out on 'em!

Only Swerve. I still don't have one and likely never will if they keep going for $60. Red box Tracks and Meister are the only other ones.

I think red box Tracks and Swerve are the most rare. Meisters started spiling out a lot when Grimlock came out. Also, I'm not sure how prices will reflect when the re-release of meister hits. I know Tracks did go down in price after the bubble version hit.

Swerve is the only Alternator that I have not seen on shelves in abundant numbers....I even saw decepticharge many times warming shelves in my target and tru for a while. Rollie and Rico I have now seen at least once at every store in my area... SO i would go with Swerve.

The Swerve Decepticharge cases seemed to just show up right before and after Xmas in abundance...the only time I saw swerve was in this time...when the tru and Walmart in Cherry Hill NJ had about 3 serves and a ton of DCs...it was really odd.

The rarest Alt for me has been Swerve, but even he wasn’t too bad, got him off eBay for $35 shipped. Tracks and Meister I actually saw tons in stores up here, bought red box Meister in January on clearance for $20. Decepticharge is also one of the more rare Alts but again I see him on eBay quite often.

A lot of people say swere but he was on shelves at every store in NH that I went to over the period of a month and a half during last summer. On the other hand I only saw decepticharge a couple of times in the state over the span of two weeks (then nothing). I think a lot depends on area. With the reissue of tracks and meister I personally don't think any alternators are really that rare.

The way the shelves are right now here in the Bay Area, you'd think that ALL ALTS are rare...:banghead:

Swerve is it as far as value. Nothing else seems to go for over $30 or so. I just bought a MISB Decepticharge on ebay a couple of weeks ago for $25.

So in other words, I can at least get my money back on a few of them. I wasn't gonna sell 'em unless I could get close to what I paid. I'd take less for some, if I could get more for others. Thanks for the advice guys. I'll go through my alts and get a list together of what I want to sell.

I passed Swerve at Target twice. Now that I think about it I should have gotten one at least. Oh well I still don't like the paint scheme. Funny thing is if it was a Decepticon I'd get it regardless of its color.

    Ebay:
Counting the bubble boxes, the only Alts I've never seen in stores are Dead End and Meister. The only reason I have Dead End is because I bought him from someone.

I can't remember how many times I saw Swerve, but I did see him at least once. I only saw Decepticharge twice and passed on him twice. I can't remember the reason the first time, but the second time was because Shockwave was also on the shelf. I bought him because I thought I'd never see him again. Now the 6-12 Shockwaves at the local TRU make me kick myself.

Are you kidding? All I see at Targets and Wal-marts in my area are swarms of bubble Tracks and Sunstreaker. You'd think there was never any interest in these figures to begin with.

Swerve by far. He was shipped in one case in early August of 05. By the first week of September, a new Alternator case was on the way with Prowl and Decepticharge. Since Wal-Mart didn't carry Alts and TRU is pathetically slow with their distribution, Target was the only spot to find these.

Meister was shipped in 2 case assortments (seen at all 3 major stores). Decepticharge saw 2 cases too, but only Target & TRU had these. With Meister seeing a re-release in May ... he'll be widely available again.

Decepticharge and Swerve have no re-release date ... but if we bitch enough, they'll be back.

One of the biggest factors to rare Alternators is Wal-Mart.

Yeah. I never saw either of the hardtop vettes until the bubble Tracks. The rest I've seen in decent numbers.
