Just doing some research out of interest.

There's a poll and I wanted to see who owns products from which brands.

I'm not trying to gauge which is the best brand but perhaps which has produced the most volume/sales.

In the past: FansToys, Fansproject, MMC, TFC, MakeToys, Dr.Wu, iGear, Perfect Effect, Cubex, Xovergen, UFO.

I sold most of it and only kept stuff from: FansToys, FansProject, Cubex and UFO.

 

I only voted for the ones that I've bought and kept: MMC, Fansproject, and iGear.

I've bought TFC, Perfect Effect, and KFC, but returned or sold those items because...well, they just weren't what I was expecting.

 

The usual suspects: FP, MT, MMC, TFC, PE, PX.

...and crap, I missed Wu.

 

Forgot iGear. Their Cosmos is cool.

 

I've bought from them all except Planet X. That's a lot of ticks........

I suspect that the more offerings a brand has, the more likely someone will have bought something from them.

Planet X only has 2 offerings rights now? Is that right?

 

No Fanstoys or Warbotron?

 

All the ones listed apart from Planet X. but with them it's more because they've stuck to FoC designs which I'm not fond of. I think their workmanship is great though. Chances are I would buy from them if it was more Generations based.

Xovergen for their Trailer Force and X2 Toys (the ones who done the Trailcutter and Hoist addons) are some others I've bought from. Renderform is another who are great for replacement heads!!!

Edit: Fanstoys for their MP toys. Forgot them!

Warbotron I've also not bought from but that's because I've ran out of buget and am commited to the Dinobots at mo.

 

Ultimately I could list all the small time and new groups and this list would be much longer.

I tried to keep it manageable.

The point is you are asking a question about where ppl have bought from in an attempt to ascertain who is the most popular. In that case you need every.single.company on that list otherwise it is pointless. If someone has bought from them then they need to be on it.

It's like me saying who has bought a car from these companies:

Ford
Ferrari
Porsche

I'll not include anyone else as I don't deem them worthy. It doesn't work like that.

 

Where's fan-favourite FansToys? With their one almighty "TakTomy couldn't make a better MP Shockwave if they tried" Quakewave release? OK, maybe two, since Scoria is now grumpily making his way to market.

 

Mech Ideas need to be on the list 2, I know they have technically only put out one project so far but they were the brake out company of last year for me.

 

I've bought from all of them, except for KFC and Dr. Wu. I've also bought a lot from Headrobots.

 

right now MMC, and based on their future projects seraph/prominion and carnifex they'll probably continue to contribute alot to my collection.

but once FT and GP get their dinobots out ill be buying the shit out of both of them

 

For me the only ones I never have bought from are Unique Toys and Planet X, and that will change when I get Salmoore.

 

KFC, Dr Wu, Maketoys, and Mech Ideas

 

I've bought from FP, MMC, TFC, MakeToys, MechIdeas, MasterShooters, Unicron.com, Perfect Effect, Dr. Wu, iGear and whoever made the newer Unicron stand (the one that actually worked). Probably some other minor players that I'm forgetting too. Of those, most of my purchases have been from FP, with TFC in second.

 

Yeah. I bought quakewave, scoria, and preordered sever and soar... As have probably 1/3 of the 3p collectors out here...

Also, daca toys has a head kit and kronos

Warbotron has a proven release with air raid, and the other combaticons aren't far behind...

Yeah, this poll is pretty worthless unless you put in all the players, otherwise "others" will overtake everyone else

 

MMC an Fanstoys would rock this poll. The 2 best company's out there IMO.
