I bought an MP 11 KO on Ebay. A pin that's supposed to connect one half of the chest piece is missing! (see attachment)

Is it possible to purchase the pin and insert it myself? How could I insert it?

Thanks in advance to any pros who can gimme some advice.

Moving to the Creative Discussion as it involves the building end rather than the finished product.

    Ebay:
That's a push pin. The kind with the flat head. I don't know of anywhere to source those and I can't take a measurement from my mp11 without removing the pin, which I'm not going to do. Your best bet is to take it up with your eBay seller. Return it in exchange for one that's not defective.

The option could also be a flat head nail. Some are thin enough to use as pins, so it'd be a matter of finding the right size.

This ^ Take nails from a craft shop and cut them down to size.

The ones for doll houses are quite nice. I used those before.

I contacted the seller and he says he will try to get a replacement pin for me from the manufacturer. Will see...

It's not practical to return it cuz the seller is in China.

Worst case scenario, I think the hole is the right size for a metal hanger. If I don't get the replacement part, I will cut a piece of the hanger and then use some glue to tighten the fit.

    Thanks all.

So the Ebay seller literally vanished soon after he promised he will get me a replacement pin. On his feedback, he got a bunch of neg feedback from buyers. His account was even deactivated. I guess I should be happy at least he disappeared after I got Starscream.

I was able to cut a small piece from a metal hanger to use as the pin. I used industrial strength glue to put that in place. Then I used varnish to tighten the fit for the chest/waist piece. I don't have a cap to secure the piece in place, and it's not a perfect fit, but there is enough friction that the piece stays up in jet mode.
