Before the movie came out every tom dick and harry was talking about Silverbolt and the Aerialbots. Where are they??????
Okay, seriosly? "Where the beep..."? As for your question nobody said jack about the Aerialbots. Silverbolt was rumoured, but never showed. (and it's unlikely that there were ever going to be Aerialbots even if he did)
Don't remember this at all. While having the Aerialbots would be the coolest bleeping thing ever, and probably bring a joyful tear to my eye to see onscreen, I don't think anyone in their right mind thought it was even a possibility.
The Aerialbots should've come to save the day in ROTF instead of that generic air strike. And the Aerialbots should've done the same in DOTM to shoot down those Decepticon fighters at the end, instead of a generic missile strike. Ball: dropped.

I dont think Ive wouldve wanted all the Aeriabots in DOTM, but having one of them such as Silverbolt join the party near the end to kick ass wouldve been awesome.
Yeah, they did announce them as part of the new autobots in DOTM, Silverbolt and some other aerialbot. But it turned out to be a false promise again xD
They were never officially announced, only rumoured, and sadly that rumour never turned out to be true.
It was rumoured, and in one fake script Silverbolt and Inferno were in the movie. But it was denied true.
People would complain the ariel bots were nothing more then a plot device to dispose of the fighters. People on TFW would then call it dropping the ball on their characters.
It really bugged me in both movies! Especially since I think the Decepticon Fighters should have been more armored. Seconded. No TF dogfights in movie? Fail.
