Because the Transformers fandom didn't explode with members overnight like My Little Pony did. Besides who would want to a make a documentary about us?
TF mockumentary spinal tap style. It'd be set in alternate history where gobots instead of TF. culminating in the 2007 gobots the real life action movie helmed by night m shyamalalamadingdong debacle. the movies plot twist was robits are ghosts.
A documentary would be interesting. It would be really fun to watch people debate about Rumble and Frenzy's color (FIRRIB). On somewhat of a side note, the TRANSFORMERS fandom did not make it on WatchMojo's top 10 fandoms list: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iSFjjHA1Nic&list=UUaWd5_7JhbQBe4dknZhsHJg. This surprised me, so I tried Googling top 10 fandoms and did not see TRANSFORMERS on any list. It is surprising because there seems to be a lot of TRANSFORMERS fans, it may just be these boards that make it seem that way. All the TRANSFORMERS conventions seem to prove that there is a large fandom, though.
Who the hell outside the Transformers fandom cares about a documentary about the Transformers fandom? Furthermore, why do we need a documentary when we can see all the different aspects of it on this site, for good or for ill?
This right here. And sadly, this right here. Where's the "So what?" of that story? What about the success of a toy franchise should make anyone outside the fandom care? It'd be a nice historical piece, but there'd be no significance.
You know that Watchmojo video was only for TV and Movie fandoms. But I am surprised that Transformers fans don't get more notice.
It's a franchise that aims to sell reconfigurable robot toys to young boys and is popular in that demographic because of the movies. What's so interesting about that?
Why would you want a documentary? Do you want to take away the little pride that we have left? You don't want to be relatively tame compared to others? Do you want to go under SuperWhoLock as the worst fandom? Do you want to end up like Tumblr and their ball pit stories from hell? I like being in a relatively low-key fandom that doesn't deal with stupid shipping wars, false-accusations of everything and anything. If we go turbo and get a documentary made, then get ready for the rest that "main-stream" fandoms go through from really dumb gifs to suggestive fan-art; and not the fun kind. tl;dr, we're lucky to not have one.
I don't know if you meant what I think you meant by this, but it's an awesome use of this phrase all the same.
Fixed . I'm also surprised we didn't make the top 10. You act like some that stuff doesn't already happen in this fandom.
You must be new have you seen the boards the only post that isn't expressing TFLove is usually debate and if you go image search stuff you find all sorts of pics. The reason we don't bring up much debate is cause there isn't much you can do to a picture of a robot. You've got your cool, awsome, amazing pics. Then human characters show emotion you've got cool, cute, funny, angry, sexy, provocative, happy, loving such a range of emotion for a human/animal with robots they have one face for everything with very little range to express emotion.I would love to watch a documentry on the life of the transformer francise, where it's going, and where the fans see themselves in saciaty but I don't think it will happen anytime soon.
