I just want a cool looking (and quality) product and good representations of characters I like, dont care who its from (unless I dont like the way they do business, ie bad customer service etc)
They're toy companies trying to get our buck. We owe them nothing. Whoever makes the most appealing version of a character will get my dollar. Sometimes it's Hasbro, sometimes it's 3P.
I support official product where I can, doesn't matter if it's Hasbro or Takara for me (depends on the price/figure deco). Not bashing unofficial 3rd Party stuff, but I'd rather buy an official 30 dollar toy than one that's 60-100 and basically copyright infringement - even if that means the Has/Tak one is slightly less good. Loyalty's a silly word though. These are companies, and I just decide where to spend my money. Don't think that has anything to do with 'loyalty'.
Aren't options 4 and 6 the same? I wonder if people have loyalty to supermarkets or brands of baked beans also.
Similar, #4 was originally called "my loyalities lay with the characters...", but I had to shorten it down where as #6 was more throwing even the concept of characters out the window too (not litterally) ie, that who it's supposed to represnt doesn't matter if you Think it's a cool toy and that you happily mix in toys from other toylines too.
'My loyalty lies with my god. I obey my god's every command. He looks after all my needs. I always say yes to him. Never no.' 'Who is your god? What is your religion?' 'I believe in a powerful religion. The name of my god is... money.'
Aren't your supporting Mech Ideas with your banner and avatar, Grinwise? ; P Those Bluster Bros. aren't cheap.
I think we're incredibly lucky what there is so much high quality 3rd party stuff available these days. You cant rely on HasTak to fill all the gaps in you collection, or pander every whim of the fandom, 3rd party stuff exists to do this, and I'm pretty sure that's my HasTak aren't taking them all to court. It's good for the hobby.
