Does anyone know where I can buy the Transformers movie score by Steve Jablonsky? Everyone online is sold out and the only place that has them now is Ebay for ridiculous prices! Why is it that this one is sold out everywhere, but that piece of sh*t rockband version is all over the place?! I mean it only came out in October! Can anyone please help a fellow transfan out? I really don't want to pay scalper prices!
I was gonna say check amazon, but even they only have it for like $100+ - wtf? For a cd?? Oh brother.
http://www.buy.com/prod/transformers-score-soundtrack/q/loc/109/205600334.html And, if you sign up for Google Checkout, you get $10 instantly off your first order, bringing your total cost to $8.68. That's the cheapest I've seen it. MIKE engledogg
hugs and loves my $18 score soundtrack purchased in octoberon e-bay. the reason this is so rare, is that it was only issued in limited quantities. Large distributors, IF THEY EVEN GOT IT, only got like, 3 or 4 copies each, and some super huge music stores didn't even got it. Sony really dropped the distrubution ball on this one. the regular soundtrack is pure shit compared to the score, and thats the one everyone wants. i didn't even realise it was so expensive now. Wow. glad i didn't wait, and i was all over this when it came out.
Thanks, but I've already tried that site, and despite still being shown in stock, it is no longer available! Even worse, Moviemusic.com, the only other place that had it, apparently sold out while I was waiting for Buy.com to confirm my order! Plus Buy.com has a load of negative feedback. Just type in "Buy.com sucks" and see you'll see what I mean. I hate scalpers! The sad part is that some fool will probably pay these dirtbags the hundred dollars that they are asking for! But thanks for trying.
if you notice on e-bay, the prices are as high as they are due to bidders, not because of scalpers. the cd is out of print, and was rare to begin with. the market has settled based on supply and demand, and it looks like if you want the cd, your going to have to bay big bucks for it. for a cd, yeah, it's a dumb price to pay, but it's not unheard of of rare cd's shooting up in value. the amazon prices are outrageous, yes, but the prices on e-bay seem standard. i don't see any scalping on e-bay.
It worked the first time, maybe we'll be lucky and it'll work again: join the petition to get the album reissued: http://www.PetitionOnline.com/transcd2/petition.html And please support the vote and tell all your friends!
130 bucks for an cd? gotterdammerung.... i feel lucky i gots a copy. the only way i'd pay that much for a cd is if it met 2 criteria: 1. autographed by the artist/composer 2. 90 percent of it goes to a charity. 10x the price for that? dood, just Itunes it and burn it to a .25 cent cd and feel like Lou Gherig....
I got mine at Hastings. When I got it they had like 7copies. When I went in and asked them for the TF Movie Score they thought I wanted the crappy Movie Soundtrack. They didn't even know about the Movie Score. I asked if they had anyone come in looking for beside myself. The guy said that I was the first person to ask for it. So I will swing by and check. If they do, I'll get one for you.
It didn't work the first time because it was reported back in May 2007 that the soundtrack of Jablonky's work would be released eventually. Jablonsky confirmed this himself later. The online petition had nothing to do with influencing its release.
Holy sh@#! I just checked the completed listings on ebay, and wow, I had no idea it was going for sooo much( $80-$100). I paid $15 shipped for mine on ebay back in October. It is really good, one of my favourite CDs, I listen to it almost every day on my ipod. I like it so much I probably would pay that amount for it. Good luck man and hope you score one.
Did they ever release an instrumental version of Goo Goo Dolls "Before its too late" that plays in the Camaro with Sam and his lady? I really want that distinctive instrumental sound WITHOUT the lyrics... Has anyone isolated this or was it ever released as an instrumental? I know its not on the score versions... Help??
I haven't been able to find the CD myself. I usually check Best Buy when I'm there, but still... maybe I might have to ask somebody to burn me a copy.
