I'm looking for a pack of 5mm led lights and it doesn't really matter to me how many are in one pack. Does anyone know where I can buy one, preferably in a physical retail store since I need them very soon?

Anywhere that sells electronics. Radio Shack springs to mind. We have a local electronic supply store that I tend to use. West coast has a store called Fry's Electronics.

Then there's a kagillion online and mail order sources. Amazon, ebay, Digikey, etc. They're pretty easy to find.

Yeah, they're ultra-common and cheap. Buying toys may actually be cheaper than "just LEDs". I actually have several I got from those lightsaber spoons that came in cereal boxes--red, blue, green. Basic 5mm LEDs, bright, and free!

White LEDs are the only ones that really cost more and won't be as easy/cheap to get. (but they get cheaper every year)
