when i saw the super bowl ROTF trailer, I was like holy shit Prime is gonna have a tough time killing that guy!! That must be the guy who replaces Megs! Turns out, he dies in the first 5 minutes  

 

I didn't. His head wasn't the one on the teaser poster.

I remember some people thinking he was Devastator though.

 

How can anyone even think that Demolishor was going to be the Big Bad in ROTF?

When I saw the trailer, with the one part showing Megatron, Starscream and Grindor (whom I initially thought was a resurrected Blackout) giving Optimus Prime a huge beating, I thought for sure Megatron was going to be the Big Bad upon being resurrected. Of course, we all know that it was The Fallen who was the Big Bad in ROTF and not Megatron.

 

Ha, Megatron hasn't really been the Big Bad in any of the 3 movies!

 

And the first? Oh wait. Your right. It was really Starscream behind the scenes and Megatron was just a rampaging monster.

 

Not in the least.

Namely because the movie's title; "Revenge of The Fallen", clearly points out to somebody who had fallen (or as it turned out the guy named The Fallen) getting some revenge. Which at that point seemed like Megatron (because we all knew he was getting resurrected, he's one of the big four names in Transformers along with Screamer, Bb, and Prime).

Demolishor was just a random bad-guy whose sole purpose in life was to destroy part of China in a secret mission from American corporations to try and stop the rapid economic growth in the country and return some investment back to American shores. He did a piss-poor job of it, too.

 

All I remember is that my jaw dropped as I saw a gigantic Decepticon break through a giant bridge with Optimus Prime jumping on it's face

 

I first thought Demolishor was 3 or so Constructicons combined (essentially Devastator's upper torso), the wheel being an improv in place of the missing leg-units. I speculated that the whole movie would be about the Constructicons gathering to strike back against the Autobots and revive Megatron (revenge of the fallen Decepticons). Some leaked info hinted at the Constructicons having rather fluid combination methods, which reinforced my idea that the movie would focus on them and all manner of wild forms they'd take, Devastator himself being a trump card.
Then it was revealed Demolishor was just 1 Constructicon (who DIDN'T do all sorts of unorthodox combinations), and that "the Fallen" was an actual character who was getting revenge despite not appearing or even being hinted at in the first movie.

So, no, I didn't think Demolishor was the big bad. I did, however, think Bonecrusher was Megatron at first... and that the fork thing was his face.

 

When I first saw it, I saw a low quality recording so it was hard to see some things. I could have sworn that it was the top half of Devastator, somehow smashing through the ground.

I was disappointed when I found out I had gotten the shape completely wrong and it wasn't him. I was even more disappointed when I saw the gorilla.

 

No I thought Demolishor would do exactly what he did do; which is to destroy things and be a challenge for the Autobots to defeat.

 

Rampage was more of a challenge then demolisher. Three shots in the head and Demolisher was down

 

Nope. Revenge of the Fallen, previous confirmed appearance of Devastator, Starscream, and a few shots of some of Megs in the same trailer convinced me otherwise.

And I actually thought it was Devastator at first

 

well when I heard Revenge of the Fallen I had no idea that they were gonna go the 13 Prime approach. I honestly thought they were referring to Megatron hahah

I thought Demolisher was a wicked sidekick of megatron or something.

I thought exactly the same thing.

And also, when I first heard the movie title, I thought revenge of the fallen was referring to the Decepticons who had fallen in the 2007 movie. I had this weird thought that they were all going to be revived and unleash their revenge on the Autobots. I never, NEVER, could have imagined that there was going to be a character named The Fallen and that the title was referring to him. Or maybe the title is meant to have a double meaning.

 

No, but I thought he looked cool.

 

I remember thinking that he'd be one of the main threats to the Autobots, and that they'd probably have to work together to take him down.

How I was wrong!

 

That's two more than what the basic bots can put up! Plus,think about it,OP's Ion blaster is damn powerful
