I was just curious about when we might see movie reviews about the web. I feel like some movie reviews have come out a week before the movies release date, and I've seen some reviews come out after the movies been released. With the Hong Kong premiere only 4 days away, do you think we'll see some movie reviews soon?

 

I wouldn't say "movie reviews" per say, but I mean I would expect several twitter comments from people attending saying how great or bad the movie turns out.

 

Damn...that means I only have 4 days left on here until I see it!

im guessing around the 19th, which is the premier. really exited but at the same time scared to hear the overall opinion on the film.

Oh I know me too. I decided I was going to read the reviews with only a grain of salt instead of looking at super major spoilers

 

After today there's only three days until the reviews start rolling in!! I'm so anxious!

The Bay hate will be epic.

 

Oh god I know. I've already noticed some rats coming out their holes on this site and already bashing the films. I already know the reviewers are gonna say they don't like it and what not, but I just wanna know what goes down inside the film

Guessing we'll get our first taste of reviews after the premier on the 19th.

Hope the reviews are favourable - though considering the reception the previous films have gotten I'm fairly certain the reviews wont tell us much...

I get the feeling you're dismissing everyone who dislike the film as 'bay haters' or 'rats' - so why are you even waiting on a review that you wont listen to unless it has a positive opinion on the film?

Seems a little pointless wanting to read reviews if you will just ignore all their critiques.

 

I echo what was said about it happening after the world premiere.

 

This. No matter how good this film is there will always be tremendous hate on it because of Bay's name. Hell back in 2010 if you just slapped Bay's name on top of Nolan's before the film came out, it would probably be at the top of everyone's worst film list.

 

Lol no. I'm talking about the people who have been on this site since 2004 and have 100 post and only bash on the films. The people that go out of their way to bring negativity everywhere they go and it's kind of annoying. The only time I've seen some of these people are only when they are talking bad about the films and have nothing positive to say and it seems they thrive off fueling all their problems and anger into hating these films. The ones who don't even give it a chance because Shia isn't in it. Or the people who think it's going to suck because Optimus got a new body mode. I want to read a review because I know they're not going to leak the whole damn script and they'll give me the right amount of info I want before seeing this movie

 

You see a lot of the reverse though as well. No matter how bad something is in the film you will find people who will swear up and down that it's the greatest most flawless film ever made. If you don't agree that everything is perfect then you are a hater.

I honestly don't think it's case of reviewers hating a film just because it has Bay's name on it. You could slap a beloved director's name on a Bay film and critics would still hit it for the flaws. If you dig around enough reviews you will find that even people critics seem to love can have a rotten film like Steven Spielberg's 26% The Legend of Zorro or Martin Scorsese's 33% Search and Destroy. So it's just a myth that a directors name gets a good or bad review.

Beside I think the Turtle's movie will have that top worst film spot tied up.

 

Well, that's interesting because even projects he has little to do with, like Ninja Turtles specifically get Bay hate. People blame Michael Bay, they say that he has ruined the TMNT despite having little to do with the film. So I don't agree, people do hate Bay just because he is Michael Bay.
