So, I've been following the "I want it all" reading order posted in this thread. IDW Transformers G1 reading orders I've already read Last Stand Of The Wreckers. I'm about to read through the last 10 issues of the ongoing series, then it's on to Death Of Optimus Prime, Autocracy, Monstrosity, etc... When should I read Sins Of The Wreckers?
Chronologically, it falls between issues #44 and #45 of RID/Transformers. If you're going by TPB volumes, it would fit nicely between volumes 8 and 9. So you've got a ways to go, basically. (Obligatory suggestion: you should totally skip Monstrosity (and Primacy) because it's terrible. Autocracy is also pretty bad but it's just important enough in the continuity to be required reading.)
Thanks! I like it all pretty well so far. Even the stuff I have seen talked down a lot online. I might skip Monstrosity and Primacy, but I feel like since I got this far I might as well read them too. They aren't even full length issues, so it should only take me an extra day or two at the most.
I actually thought Monstrosity was okay, mainly because it was the second appearance of Dai Atlas after the Drift mini and, it definitely made me appreciate him more as a character. Primacy though, unnecessary crap. Shame too because despite the continuity flaws I enjoyed Autocracy and Monstrosity and was looking forward to how Primacy capped things off. And it's one massive non-event honestly.
I think this is my prefered reading order for Season 2: MTMTE v6 + RID v6 + WB v1 MTMTE v7 + RID v7 + Punishment + DEoS MTMTE v8 + CW + RID v8 + WB v2 MTMTE v9 + Redemption + RID v9 + SOTW MTMTE v10 + RID v10 + TAAO v1 TR + TF:Revolution Timeline-wise, it also makes sense to read DEoS after MTMTE v8 and SOTW after RID v8, because that's where the main series write in the existence of the mini series. But then you get this: MTMTE v8 + DeOS + CW + RID v8 + SOTW + WB v2 MTMTE v9 + Redemption + RID v9 That puts 5 trades between MTMTE v8 and MTMTE v9. Too many.
Your opinion. I liked them... in some cases, more than the core continuity books. Well, not so much Primacy. But even that, I didn't hate.
