So....the new TF5 trailer came out sooner as we thought with the release of Star Wars Rogue One tonight...and now we all be wondering when can we expect the next one.

We definitely are getting a 30 second action packed look at TF5 during Super Bowl 51...hopefully a new full length trailer, maybe a day or so after the game.

If that's not the case, then I say we should expect the next one to come out on March 2nd which is the release date of Hugh Jackman's final Wolverine film 'Logan'.

It's like nearly 3 years ago when we got the first action packed teaser during SB 48 and then the first full length trailer came out with the release of 300 Rise of an Empire, which came out on March 7th.

What are your thoughts on this, folks? In what upcoming films can we expect the new TF5 trailer to come out?

 

Definitely expect something at the Superbowl.

Theatrical trailer I imagine would be with either in late April/May, then play in front of Guardians Vol. 2 or Baywatch.

 

dont know but i dont intend on watching any more trailers, ive seen enough, ill be there the night before opening night, 10pm

 

Superbowl, I really hope it's far from now, I need my TFs hunger to go off the chain again!  

 

I think this year, the TF5 trailer could be earlier than the super bowl 2017

 

I'm just hoping they don't fuck up and show us too much. Second theatrical trailers lately have been known to spoil us dead.

Yes, this is the most accurate time of release the full trailer..super excited because we are going to see Onslaught and Barricade robots mode and possibly the Submarine TF..yeah!

 

The Submarine will definitely be the money shot.

Some shots seen before but rendered a little better as well.

 

this is what im sayin..im tellin ya, they're gonna show too much like they always do...there's no need to watch any more trailers for this film

 

why would you go a day before the movie opens?

 

there should be 7pm, 10pm, & 12am showings on the night before/morning of..at least there was for tf4....im too old for 12am showings nowadays..10pm is the perfect time

transformers will also be the first time i see a film series 5 times in the theater (not including the star wars re-releases of the late 90s)

& the last movie i saw in the theaters was AOE

maybe a teaser for 2nd trailer would fit the format, but it seems stupid to spend a fortune on superbowl footage just for a trailer teaser ...

either way, I can´t imagine them doing one of these after releasing a full trailer ...

I don't recall a Transformers trailer showing too much. Is there a specific example?

 

i haven't seen the trailers in a while but i specifically remember them showing sideways' death for tf2, starscream's death for tf3, & ratchet's for tf4 (not to mention they implied optimus' death in tf2 & appear to be implying bee's for tf5)

teasers are enough for me personally (& even those go a little overboard..the tf5 teaser wasn't really a teaser; it was a trailer..the tf1 teaser..now that's a true teaser)...i mean, it's not like im not gonna go see the movie..id go see them without a trailer as long as bay is at the helm

 

Sideways was only in the movie to get killed. You wouldn't have known that was Starscream's corpse in the DoTM trailer unless you were actively looking for spoilers, that clip mostly focused on Bumblebee. It most certainly did not show Ratchet's death in the AoE trailer, only him getting attacked, so unless you were once again looking for spoilers there's no way you could have known for certain that he was going to die. I don't recall any implication that Optimus was going to die in the RoTF trailers at all.
