When Prime was impaled by his sword, wouldn't Shane pulling it out of him cause greater damage? The sword removal definitely would have caused loss of blood - or Energon, which would ultimately kill him.
That title tho... But yeah, I never quite understood that. Steve Irwin died cause they pulled that stingray barb out of him-the same should go for Prime. You can make the argument that he's a robot, but I still thought it was kinda far fetched, even for Transformers. Did remind me of that scene in Modern Warfare 2 where the dude pulls that knife out of him and throws it in that one guys eye though, and that was badass
When Shane pulled out... his excuse for being with Tessa. So that he is legally protected of pulling out of Tessa.
So what you're saying is after Shane pulled it out it should have squirted thick, sticky, liquid all over Optimus?
Optimus was shot through the chest twice and was able to recover. As long as the spark isn't damaged, it seems like Prime can recover for those kinds of injuries. Afterall, the Transformers can take a fair bit. Limbs can dettach and re-attached. As long as the head or spark aren't damaged (Megatron notwithstanding) it seems like it's only a brief incapacitation.
As with most fans, you are putting more thought into the story than the writer does. And the thread title does sound dirty lol.
Didnt think it was a lethal stab, Lockdown wanted to pin Prime down for later. Pulling it out wouldve left him alive. Lockdown's version of brb. After seeing the old wounded G1ish Prime scan the semi and become new while fixing up all his damage (which seemed cheap) , taking a sword to the chest didnt seem that bad. Like wtf did they need Ratchet for when they can scan stuff.
