Hey all! I haven't watched the entire series yet, and apart from Cliffjumper (who sadly died), and Smokescreen (watched some episodes with him in) no characters have kept me entertained to watch the entire series.

So I've just watched some clips with Shockwave, and bought the cyberverse figure of him and I really like him. So I might start watching the series from when he first appears, but I don't know what episode it is.

Also, is he an interesting character?

It's the one right after Miko kills Hardshell. You really should watch this show in order.

We first see him in the episode Out of The Past.
He later returns at the start of season 3 as a regular character.

I found him interesting, but some didn't. As usual, he values logic/science above all else.

No, he's not. Shows up in season 2 as a flashback and fully appears in season 3.

Of course he's interesting, he's Shockwave! Not to mention the best one yet.

He debuts in Out of the Past, just after the mid-point of season two, before joining the main cast full-time in season three's first episode.

He was originally going to be killed off in Out of the Past, which proves that the writers really had no idea what to do with him, before he got thrown back in to bring around the Beast Hunter toys. I found the incessant "logic" references to be incredibly annoying, like as if the writers thought it was some terrific fan service. As a character he was alright, if a bit bland, and David Sobolov knew he had a tough act to follow when it came to voicing Shockwave instead of Corey Burton. Sobolov's a great actor (this is the guy who delivered Depth Charge's last words), but the voice direction in this show sucked for several characters, particularly Shockwave. He's kind of a cross of every the typical mad scientist Shockwave we always got, with the hulking death machine persona from the movies thrown in that made him one of the most consistently powerful characters in the show.

I liked him. I'm not entirely sure how he survived the zombie horde that swarmed him, but I'm glad he did. I enjoyed his character. I also liked the scene where he confronts starscream about leaving him to the autobots at the lab.

    "Your answer is - logical."
Awesome, because I have no doubt he would have killed starscream right there if not for his answer - in front of Megatron no less.
