I'm not sure if this has been asked, but when do you guys think Transformers: Prime toys will see the light of day?

Personally I'm a bit worried about this show, it seems that it might be overshadowed by Transformers 3 next year and will not have toys until the movie hype dies down! Hopefully that's not the case...

If the show airs within the next 6 months, you can bet that toys will be on shelves by next fall.

As soon as people stop believing there won't be a line.

Actually I've seen this being discussed. Why do people think that there won't be a line?

Because they're under the misguided impression that Hasbro hates money.

The show debuts this fall, right? Well, I thing the toys will hit within 2 weeks, either before or after it starts.

Hasbro's gonig to find a way to suck money out of this. I bet around the show's second season we'll be seeing toys, just like Animated.

I imagine we'll start seeing toys from TF: Prime starting late in the fall or sometime in the course of the winter.

A specific date hasn't been revealed, though at Botcon Hasbro said the show probably wouldn't be ready to air on 10/10/10 with the Hub launch. Then again, Transformers Animated premiered almost 6 months before toys were on shelves, and in general, shows tend to premiere before associated toylines.

Summer 2012. I think we'll have to wait until the TF3 line winds down.

Can't imagine they're going to start a new mainline before TF3 or have another one running during the early stages of the TF3 toys. I could see TF Prime figures coming out around Christmas 2011, though, to have something new and fresh in stores for the holidays.

Late 2011/early 2012. If the show is still on. Otherwise, just a few random toys under the Generations banner.

This sounds rather depressing. How can a Transformers show run for such a long time without toys to back it up? By the time the toys are released, Prime might not be that fresh anymore to be feasible to the general public.

I hope the show's run is really long enough to justify a late release.

I'm willing to bet we're not going to see any TF: Prime toys till 2011. And depending on when the show actually airs, that could either be spring, or fall.
I just get the feeling they'll want to aviod releasing it during the summer at the exact same time as the TF3 line.
They'll either try and get it out before TF3 hits, so it can establish a market, or just wait for TF3 to wind down and then bring it in.

Apparently Hasbro has at least 4 seasons already set for the show, so I'm thinking they plan on it being around for awhile.

Given the space a lot of retailers give to Transformers my guess is they are going to wait until the third movie line is about done with it's run. Things are already pretty crowded with what we already have.

So this year at Toy Fair my guess is the focus will be on new movie stuff. Might start to see some of the unpainted prototypes by Bot Con or Comic Con at the very earliest.

I've got a feeling that this sub-line of figures are being designed/prototypes being cast etc. as we speak. When's the next big toy fair scheduled to take place? NY in Feb 2011? Expect some sort of teaser then...

I say somewhere between late 2011 or early 2012.
