Pretty much what the title asks.
I think it is usually a week or two after the convention ends I believe - assuming they have any left of sets.
if they don't sell out, a week or 2 after botcon
So how does a place like BBTS offer the stuff for Preorder? Do they have some separate deal or something?
I might be wrong, but I think since stores like BBTS attend cons like BotCon, they buy the figures and resell them.
I would love to know, currently I can get 21 sets from BBTS if I so choose. So if I can do that, does that mean that they have 21 representatives going?
Is the Botcon stuff, 1 per attendee? Or can you buy as many as you want?
Only reason I ask, is cause it would be nice for the TFCC members, who pay an annual fee, to have a shot at these if they cannot attend Botcon.
The non-attending 'Iacon Package' option was made available earlier today and has since sold out.
If the exclusives are anything approaching decent, I expect they will sell out this year and never go up on the store. I think last year was more of a fluke.
Darn, that is what I was looking for.
Just curious, how much did that sell for? No wonder I didn't see it listed.
Thanks for the clarification.
Last year, from what I remember correctly, the TFCC sold BBTS a lot of product directly for them to resell. Once the con happened, BBTS had tons and tons of product, like 200 seeker sets or something and then they got more in after that.
They have some kind of partnership but it's never been disclosed exactly what it is -- I know I used to get BBTS flyers in the magazine when I was a member. I remember last year BBTS just had a massive amount of Botcon stuff, and it wasn't just from buying it from the table like everyone else.
$395, same as an attending 'Primus Package'.
Do they ever sell those sets broken up? I only want that Scorponok.
A few weeks after BotCon
FunPub won't ever sell a boxset figure by itself. They only sell the complete boxset with all five figures. If Scorponok is all you want, BBTS or eBay is your best bet.
And the odds are pretty low that any of this year's figures will be left in FunPub's hands by the time the show is over. They appear headed for a full sell-through this year. So I wouldn't place any hope in seeing any of the Botcon figures for sale through the Club store after the show.
