Is G.I.Joe still slated for March 2020? I wonder if they're still going forward with the shared universe idea.

 

That was replaced with the Snake Eyes Solo Flick. GI Joe 3 was postponed, most likely due to Dwayne Johnson's busy schedule.

 

That series needs a reboot that begins with Cobra Commander's origins, Cobra la and CC salesman combined. Chuckles and Shipwreck should be there, providing humor...it should also be in the 80s.

Yeah we won't be hearing any news about films anytime soon I think. The new Netflix show is probably going to be a big mainstay this year, along with maybe the new TF console game which we'll probably get more info about come E3.

 

It's hard to know. It could be soon, or it could still be a year or so. I would guess if they had anything to tell us, they'd have talked about it during the buildup to Bumblebee's DVD release date.

Most of the time, the year after a Transformers movie is a slow year. 2012 was a slow year, as was 2015. 2013 and 2016 were much more eventful. I think 2019 is the same as the first. We might get little tidbits here and there, but probably nothing major. Assuming the next movie comes out in 2021, I would guess 2020 will be more eventful.

 

The gap between DOTM and AOE was awful, previously there was only one off year and the movie toylines ran longer. I was so bored with everything that came out in 2012 and 13.

Interesting video. I would guess Paramount will either re-create a prop of that truck for Bumblebee 2/Optimus movie, or come up with a slightly different variation. I could see them tweaking it a bit.

It's kind of funny, that page has had pictures of the truck on his Faceboook page since April of last year. If we had known where to look back then, we could have seen what Optimus' truck would have looked like early!

 

Because of Bay and Goldsman imcompetence, there'll be no tf movies.

It could be today, it could be tommorow, it could next week, ti could be next month, could be next year, could be in 20 years, who knows.

But the earliest would be either 2020 or 2021, since it doesnt seem we will get a TF movie until 2022, unless they add another date in 2021 for a Hasbro film

 

I’m pretty sure I read somewhere Lorenzo said the Bumblebee sequel is more likely to come out BEFORE the next big Transformers. I think they are going to wait until they have a solid idea of where the franchise is going, anyone’s guess but when do you think that will actually be?

I still think that they screwed up by not replacing the generic soldiers in the original Bayverse film with Duke, etc. Have G.I.Joe form in response to Cobra acquiring Cybertronian technology to jump-start their rise to power.

That's because the film was original supposed to be a G.I. Joe film but the Transformers brand was chosen instead. Consequently, The Soldiers and Military in the film were purposely portrayed and focused on in a certain way in order to make them somewhat of a weird "quasi-homage" to the Joes.

 

I prefer the way they did it instead. I feel that putting them together takes away from each other.

 

It depends on whether they choose to release a main transformers movie first or a bumblebee sequel
