If Wheeljack is in TF3 (which I hope to god he is), which do you think would be a cooler alternate mode for him? SAAB Aero-X or Fenomenon Stratos
Since we haven't seen either of those cars in the shoot, it's not looking like either will be in TF3. If I recall right, the Saab was originally rumoured for TF2, and at the time it was plausible, since GM owned Saab. I would've loved for that to happen, but some things are not meant to be. The Statos is probably far too G1 to actually make it into the movie(though I would've said that about Prime's trailer too). Personally I preferred the Saab, it has a very cool vibe to it, and the way the doors open, it actually looks like it's transforming. Unless the Merc or the Ferrari are Wheeljack, I don't think he's going to be in this one. Personally I'd prefer they weren't, nothing about them makes me think Wheeljack. The Saab isn't as blatantly G1 as the Stratos, but it has the wraparound windscreen, which is very Wheeljack indeed.
Well, keep in mind that shooting has only just started. Also keep in mind that we've only seen two new Autobot cars so far, if you even count the Mercedes. I'm sure there will be at least a couple more new Autobots.
I'd pee my pants if the Stratos was Wheeljack. In fact, I would have no more complaints about alt modes for anyone else, because that thing is so blatantly a modern version of the G1 classic. That would make me believe they were throwing us old G1 lovers the ultimate bone... I don't think anyone save Prime and Bumblebees alts have a modern version that so accurately matches their g1 look, without being hokey. Seeing Prowl as a 370z Police car would require more suspension of belief than the Stratos... it looks like it was designed to be an updated alt for Wheeljack.
