    I know this idea can encroach on personal cannon, but I've always seen TFs as reparable robots. Personalities (or "ghosts" even) can have a shared database (like the Allspark) and can be downloaded into bodies at any one point. Again, that may just be my personal view.

    Simply put, there is no hard evidence from within the narrative that Wheeljack,Brawn or Windcharger died.

    [yes we've been trew this many times before]

    And the reason why Wheeljack was seen in the later Japan series is because they didnt know about the events in the film.

    TF Victory was on the air in Japan years before they ever got the movie.

    Why would one mistake lead to all that??

    And Sideswipe,Trailbreaker and Jazz never died.

    It could be that Wheeljack survived his wounds. When they visited the Masoleum in Dark Awakening, the only ones listed as dead were Ironhide, Ratchet, Prowl, and Huffer. Others could be dead but it is possible that Wheeljack did live. The error with Prowl in Headmasters could be stretched to be actually a miscolored Bluestreak.
