I think the most iconic weapon in the franchise is the Fusion Canon. It's almost always visible on Megatron's or Galvatron's right arm in most incarnations... Not all of them and it's kind of disappointing when it's not there cause it's really the only physical feature that is unique to most incarnations of the character.

That said as my user name would suggest... part of me is kind of obsessed with swords so the Star Saber... Not the Victory character of the same name but the actual weapon... and even though my first introduction to the Star Saber is the one formed Jetstorm, Runway, and Sonor I actually prefer Prima's sword with the Matrix as part of the hilt. Though since this doesn't really appear in fiction too often it's not as iconic but I wish they would do more with this weapon cause I love that design.

That wasn't a chunk of scrap... that was a Copy Right Infringement... Though since Hasbro also holds the license for Star Wars toys I guess they can get away with shoving a Light Saber into their movie. I just think it's funny Megatron seems to pull a Light Saber out of no where. There's a lot of random weapons that just seem to be laying on the battle field during that scene and I still have no idea where they came from.

 

Well I've always loved Ramjets and the other 2 coneheads. Also to include the 3 seekers side arms too. When i was a kid growing up with G1 transformers, i loved jets and still do. So the idea of flying in alt mode with those laser weapons was so awesome. So I'd have to say those for sure for me.

 

Yeah, there was the lightsaber thing too. But he also tossed a chunk of scrap at him.

Or maybe it was the other way around, been years since I dusted off a copy.

Either way, scrap was my favorite weapon. Lightsabers are way played out.

 

Oh yeah I remember reading that article in my free time. Gotta say, the Decelerator Laser, Friction Rifle, and Glass Gas Gun are some of my favorites.

 

Character-wise, I say Dinobot's spinning segmented blade.

Toy-Wise, Triggerbot Override. It was nice having a Transformer with a set of guns with virtually ZERO chance of losing for a change.

Hound's minigun, sword of justice, star/dark star sabre, fusion cannon, lockdown's head, warpath in general.

 

Shockwaves hand cannon. Intentionally replacing your hand with a gun barrel, that's dedication!

 

I love energon Starscream's giant sword. I think it's smaller in the cartoon but in toy form when combined with the blaster section its like 1 and a half times his height. Looks so cool and OP

 

The Torque gun, Acid Pellet weapons from Prowl and Scattershot, Glass Gas Gun from Cliffjumper, all for what effectiveness they have.


Style points? Gotta be Starscream's Cluster Bombs under his air vents. Gave me flashbacks to the Robotech episode Blitzkrieg.

 

Acid Storm's Hyperion-3 cannons because they make acid rain
