There are SO many different divisions of the Autobots & Decepticons it's astounding. Technobots, Insecticons, Wreckers, Phase Sixers, etc. I'm sure there are some out there that I haven't even heard of yet. I find it all really fascinating that these 2 factions have a bunch of subgroups so I had to ask: What's your favorite TF team? For me, I'd probably have to say the Protectobots. All different types of vehicles, sizes & functions yet they're all focused on one thing: protecting others. That's awesome to me. So what's yours?
As always i cant pick just one favorite. I love the G1 Headmasters of both sides, the Deluxe Insecticons, The Monsterbots, The Dinobots, The Combaticons, The Predacons, The Technobots , The Seacons...
Overall I am a HUGE Seeker fan, like most of my favorite characters are Seekers (Starscream, Thundercracker, Slipstream, Skywarp) But I am also a fan of the... Stunticons Aerialbots Protectobots Combaticons Technobots
The seekers would have some potential, if they weren't usually relegated to 1 Starscream, 2 Starscream, Red Starscream, Blue Starscream.
It doesn't help that the TF Fandom has made guys like Skywarp and Ramjet somewhat of a joke Thundercracker is the one who questions the Decepticon cause Skywarp is the idiot who pushes people down the stairs Sunstorm is an arsonist with a god complex Ramjet apparently likes toast... who knew! Dirge dies... a lot Thrust, Nacelle, and Acid Storm... Uh, I don't know Bitstream is a computer nerd Hotlink has a flamethrower Slipstream is Starscream's sarcastic female clone
Bitstream (G1) - Transformers Wiki Hotlink (G1) - Transformers Wiki Nacelle (G1) - Transformers Wiki Basically Fun Publication took four generic seekers who appeared in the very first episode of G1 Transformers and gave them new identities as well as appearances in their Machine War comics.
Technobots. While primarily a fan of the G1 comics I did like their portrayal in the cartoon. Honourable mentions: Scavengers though I'd prefer to see Flywheels survive and the bomb guy die Autobot Double Targetmasters Stunticons Firecons. Love their toys. Sports car patrol G2 Stormtroopers
Throttlebots. I always loved the idea of an espionage and surveillance specialist team. Also the Seacons: also specialists.
Loved the Autobot Headmasters (Chromedome, Brainstorm, Hardhead, Highbrow and Maximus Fortress) I liked the Wreckers from IDW's Last Stand of the Wreckers. My favorites had to be Impactor, Perceptor, Ironfist and Kup. I liked the Arielbots, Stunticons and Constructicons. The Dinobots were Ok too.
The Insecticons get my top vote. They're creepy, scary...and despite being Decepticons, are actually loyal to one another. Also, their origins in the original cartoon really set the tone for what was to come in Beast Wars.
I have a soft spot for the Axelerators and the Skyscorchers. Those guys were the primary protagonists/antagonists of my older childhood.
