I must be the only person on earth that hated Roadking. Got rid of him within a month. Stress marks and overly complex. Hot mess. Turned me off of Fanstoys and MP for life.

Shocks me to say this but MFT Huge Dragon might be my favorite that I own(ed). He's so much fun to mess with and I have a set of the constucticons from utopia (the mini ones) which work well and also the mini sentry and the reprolabels. He just stands out so much on the shelf.

Otherwise, MMC Furor as he's hands down the best Rumble in existence.

 

One of the triple changers, FT Thomas, DX9 Gewalt, or MMC Saltus. Or UT Challenger, that made me a believer of Movie Figures

 

CONSTRUCTOR by Toyworld.

He’s my favorite. Plus he makes the biggest impact in my display and emotional strings, LOL.

He is a game changer and set the precedent for MP combiners. Love him.

 

Zeta toys has the best combined mode for their Bruticus and Superion.

 

Nope, I also disliked Roadking (and the other FT Stunticons for that matter) and sold him. I didn’t like his transformation and though his alt mode looked good, his robot mode looked like a giant bulky pile of grey and black rectangle blocks. Not every FT release knocks it out of the park, and I found that to be especially true for the combiner figures. Especially the Aerialbots.

it didn’t turn me off of FT though, because my favorite all time figure is Quietus.

 

An oldie but goodie.

 

Not only he is as awesome as it gets, but to me he is also a benchmark against overpriced practices that is becoming more and more commonplace these days.

Want to thank Takara for pricing their Prime as much as they did and spurred me to throw the 200ish shipped for this guy.

 

Super solid, smooth joints, fun to transform and pose, spectacular in both modes, and probably the most gorgeous colour scheme I've ever seen on a transformer.

I think mine might be DX9's Carry. I never really thought of Rodimus' alt mode as being very huge, and I love how DX9 managed to make a Rodimus that doesn't need a separate trailer but still looks good in both modes, doesn't have a ton of kibble, and isn't a pain to transform.

I really like Zeta/Studio-1/whoever's Unicron and MMC's Bruticus, but they're still kind of new hotness.

@breaux man When I was scrolling down the page and saw Smart Robin somehow I knew that was yours before I even looked to see who posted.

 

I love that one too. A little problematic on the shoulders and a little wtf on the target master but checks all the boxes rightly otherwise.

The figure just nails the look of the character in both robot and vehicle mode from G1. Articulation is more than adequate. Transformation is pretty easy, and the figure has an insane amount of shelf presence.

 

For the longest time it was Generation Toy's Tyrant but I think I can say now after having had the guy nearly a year, that Unique Toys Dragoon has usurped him. A very special figure to me that ticks all the boxes that I value. The knees could have been better toleranced, more sculpted detail, paint etc but it's still a 10/10 for me, because in the end money, time I've laid down vs what I've got back, my most photo-ed and transformed, played with figure of 2020 without a doubt!
