I've owned both versions and I've noticed no difference but I have not critically analyzed it.

Ah, okay. I always wonder why so many always bash the Korean version. I thought there was some huge reason, but I guess there isn't.

Well, I have a Korean Big Convoy and I had the potunity to compare it with a Jaapanese one.

First of all, Korean BC are made by Sononkong a compa in Korea that got the license of Takara for BW NEO, BW II and some RID figures, and they produced the toys there. They are not KO's.

Korean Big Convoy comes in a HUGE box, this because he is inside in robot mode instead of beast mode like in the Japanese box. The Big Cannon is located over the robot so that makes even more space.

The robot and toher parst come inside a white plastic bubble. There you can find 3 or 4 cards in Korean. They come randomlyand theyare a bit smaller than the Japanese ones and he quality is not as good.

The only complains I can hav with oren BG is that he his joints are loose compared to the Japanese BG. The plastic is not so shin as the Jaapanese one.

Another problem is that the paint in Korean BG tends to fade or got scratches easily. If you uuse the toy for display you don't have to worry about it.

I have also heard (haven't happened to my BG) that the screws get rust in after some time.

    Hope this helps.

Yes, thank you. Although I had no idea, I figured as much, since the joints sometimes pop off, but are secured on my Korean Big Convoy, and while it's basically up for display, the paint sorta chips off or just vanishes.

The price on the Korean one however is unbeatable imo. So I love it.

Hmm. I had a Korean Big Convoy up until a few months ago, and I had none of those problems. I have a Japanese version and was able to compare them before I got rid of the Korean... they were exacly the same. Must just vary by each individual piece, i guess. Of course, that can be said for literally ANY figure...

I kinda saw the Korean one as slightly cheaper than the Takara one.

Must be. Mine is indistinguishable AFAIK.

Throw away the box and I doubt anyone could tell any difference between the two save for the cards. The Sonoking comes with some pretty inferior tech spec cards that seems to be randomly tossed in.

Just to add to the differences ......I have bought gotton my hands on 2 of each over the years 3 as presents and I did notice a few differences.

The plastic used on K Big Convoy seems to be of a softer grade and the screws used to hold parts are a bit cheaper as well.I tried to remove some screws to tighten some joints and not only did the tips of the screws chip and strip but when I put them back in the iner plastic part that the screws go into crumbled.

The Korean BC has lighter color, loose joints, and soft screws/plastic.

Go for the Takara one. It's much better.

Interesting that so many people point out the differences. I heard Sonokong BW toys were Takara toys in Korean box.

The difference could be due to different packaging methods? Being packed in robot mode in flimsy plastic for years might cause some problem. I have Sonokong Big Convoy and Takara Black Big Convoy, and both of their neck joints became loose after a while.
