I just don't get it. I went to the website today for the first time, and all I saw was a site about various alien abduction/sighting crap that has been argued about for years What does this have to do with the movie other than the fact that the site "creators" are Leo and two other random guys who are apparently his friends in the movie. Does anyone know what is going on with that?
*facepalm* They are trying to make it seem like the movie is real, by having real sites from the movie online.
They have pictures of Starscream drawing energy from an electric plant. I see an energon tie in. Also on page 7 there is something about a mother ship of some sort. It looks like Soundwave to me, with the 3 orbs of light.
**spoile??r** therealeffingdeal.com is sam's roommates website trying to spread the truth about alien life on earth also go to GiantEffingRobots.com - agents simmons site aka robowarrior Mendelsonrobotics.com for more viral marketing
Oh, so this is the "sectorseven.org" of Revenge of the Fallen. That is what I originally thought, but I guess it makes sense. It just has so many real things in it like some person actually made this out of weirdiness (they included YouTube links, CNN links, some other famous links...)
Lots and lots of little hints from the websites Emkay says: 05.19.2009 at 12:23 pm A giant alien robot tha turns into a jet? That’s rediculous! What’s next, a cement mixer that transforms into a giant vacuum? HA! Unlikely… Argent Zephyr says: 05.19.2009 at 12:55 pm Oh crap. Not him. That one is definitely not friendly. If you’ll excuse me, I’m gonna go hide in the back of a nice, safe yellow Camaro…… # S7Zel says: 05.18.2009 at 8:13 pm This is only the beginning of what is to come. # Kup_is_Dion says: 05.18.2009 at 8:19 pm I hope one of those steps on Stan Bush and puts us out of our misery! BrotherHalo says: 05.18.2009 at 10:33 pm Hey RisingDragon, glad to see the old guard still hasn’t given up on the fight. We will expose the truth. We helped take down Sector 7 a few years ago. It looks like we need to pull the troops together again. Wheelie says: 05.19.2009 at 12:23 pm yes, we are here Pretty friggin funny. I like how they weren't afraid to point out stuff to people
There's an image of a Transformer in the background of the website, so there is a link. Plus, if there was no link, why would there be a message about it in the trailer of ROTF? There are also stories there about Mission City, where the 'Bots and 'Cons duked it out.
Anyone remember Cloverfield? Only differance here is that Cloverfield's viral marketing strategy worked, it was cool. This however, fails.
