Is it 1:24 or 1:48? Working on a pitch for someone's fan universe and some MP figs turned service robots feature, so I need to know the scale. And also throw a little lamentation in this thread for not being able to afford all of them.
...or any of them, it would seem, since you have no idea of their size... 1:24 is Binaltech/Alternators scale; only Masterpiece Rodimus or MP-1 Optimus comes close to that. 1:48 is closer to Legends scale; the new Swerve and Tailgate figures, for instance. Since MP-10, the MP cars have been roughly 1:32 scale, which is only slightly larger than most deluxe figures: Note how well Masterpiece Sideswipe and Prowl scale with a wide variety of HasTak and third-party vehicles. Hope that answers your question!
My understanding is that the Alternators were 1:24 scale, so the new MP line would probably be closer to the 1:48 scale.
The size of the actual car is on the back of the MP box (in mm). Just measure how long the figure is in altmode and you get your scale. For example, a real countach is (according to the MP box) 4140 mm, while MP sideswipe measures 142 mm => gives a scale of 1:291549295774647...... The Datsuns (Prowl et.al) and the Lancia (Wheeljack) are also between 1:29 and 1:30. However, MP Bumblebee is much smaller and falls somewhere between 1:35 and 1:40. In contrast, the Vanettes are bigger, more like scale 1:27-28 (too big in robotmode and too big in altmode, compared to the other cars). 1:24 = alternators 1:32 = alternity Classics...depends on the figure. Some could be 1:35, some could be 1:32...they're made up cars and classics doesn't have any sort of scale.
Just going off memory so I might be wrong but red car = toy world trace (aka throttlebot chase) and green car is alternity fortress Maximus.
1/32 is close, but still a little small. they're about 1/28-1/30 usually. i think mp tracks is the only one that's truly 1/32, and bumblebee is 1/35.
