What /10 and why? Here’s mine:

DOTM: 9.5/10: My personal favourite. The score on this is so good it almost carries the movie, “It’s Our Fight” was perfect to mark the Trilogy’s end, Jablonsky really outdid himself. Most action out of them all. the movie does dwell on Sam for a bit too long, but once it gets going it becomes less boring and more so my ideal TF movie. Oh yeah, and Sentinel Prime
TF07: 8/10: Good start to the franchise with good action. Really entertaining.
ROTF: 7.5/10: A step back in terms of plot, but I still find the movie enjoyable to watch

 

Pretty much the same thing.

2007 - 8/10. Nice and heartwarming, but kinda bland in retrospect.

ROTF - 4/10. Most of the film is a painful embarrassment, honestly. There’s fun in it, but the fun IMO isn’t worth sitting through piles and piles of shit a la Bay.

DOTM - 9/10. My favourite in the series and also one of my favourite movies. Sentinel made this movie for me, one of the coolest villains of all time. I also liked the darker, more serious tone. Compared to ROTF (‘enemy scrotum’ pffhh), the humour here is also more mature and less embarrassing to laugh at.

 

The tone was another reason it was my fav too. And yeah, the humour is actually pretty funny in DOTM too, especially Jerry lmao

 

It's been a while since I've seen both DOTM and ROTF, especially the latter, but I'd like to base my judgement on what I personally believe should be the most important aspect that determines a movie's sucess. And that is the story and how it's told. Now based on that I could score the movies like so:

TF07: 7.5/10 - It has a great plot and decent storytelling. Characters are portrayed well and acting sure is good. It's fun, enjoyable, not too long and overall a well done movie. It's certainly nothing special but it delivers. Some the humour is corny and unnecessary.

ROTF: 5/10 - Way too much of anything. Way too much racism and corny jokes. Lot's and lot's of plotholes. Failed character development. Lack of robot screen time. Movie was just too long and apart from a few scenes that benefit from the effectiveness of the visuals it was just boring to watch.

DOTM: 6.5/10 - The concept of the story was good in my opinion but once again the lack of continuity was heavily present. I feel like it would've worked better as a stand-alone project. This time however the characters are less annoying but still suffer from lack of screen time. It was a better movie than ROTF in terms of storytelling but kinda didn't feel connected to it's prequels.

 

In order: 8, 3, 9.

TF07 gets a few free passes for being the first hit off the joint, so a few coughs and some bits sticking out of the paper are understandable and don't hurt an otherwise solid core.

ROTF for some reason we let the meth-head roll the joint and its a fucking mess. I mean you can still smoke it but its more trouble than its worth and some cheapskate has snuck some kale and oregano in there.

DOTM had a deft hand, practically surgical in its skill, mull the herb and roll the joint. Result, near perfection.

 

TF07 - 4/10. A below-average movie that's sometimes exciting, sometimes boring.
ROTF - 2/10. Fucking garbage with, like, one or two genuinely good moments.
DOTM - 5/10. Could've been so much better if it wasn't marred by really, really stupid shit. The dramatic turning point of the movie is no-joke interrupted so Sam's mom can talk about whether or not he has a big dick. Also every robot who dies fucking decomposes into bits on the spot like the animators just discovered their physics engine.

 

2007: 7/10
RotF: 4/10
DotM: 6/10

I won't overrate them just because they're my favourite films. The trilogy is generally positive.

 

TF1= 8/10- Original and well presented. Best way to start a film franchise
ROTF= 6/10- A lot of action, maybe a bit too much. Quite noisy in terms of plot and story.
DOTM= 9/10- A Masterpiece. Need I say more?

TF 2007: 8/10. Really underrated. Sam had a decent character arc. Mikaela was awesome. Lennox and Epps were great. I really liked everything overall. A bit rough in places, hacker arc could've been compressed/cut a bit, but overall I really like it.

ROTF: 6/10. Stupud masquerade they had in the beginning soured it for me, along with Skids and Mudflap. Sam regressed in characterization. Bumblebee's damned radio voice, clever in the first movie, came back despite it being fixed at the end of 2007. Some bright spots, like the Fallen's death, Jetfire, Mikaela overall.

DOTM: 3/10. Leonard Nimoy's performance was good. I liked optimus finally killing Megatron. But other than that I didn't like it.

3-9/10 AND WERE BACK ON TRACK

 

1 = 9 out of 10 . Still my favourite bayverse movie .
2 = 7 out of 10 . Bigger cast and thought soundwave was cool . Way too long though .
3 = 4 out of 10 . Far too long . Too many human soldiers and generic terminator decepticons and it takes about an hour for a building to fall down .Too many main characters killed .
