Animated is highly regarded as one of the best TF shows in modern years. However if there's one thing you didn't like or thought it needed a better fix up on the show what would you change about it?

 

Add a season 4.

 

Having season four happen.

 

That it got canceled. Oh wait, Everyone beat me to it.

-I would have changed the animation to something more ordinary looking like the G1 style but without the five errors per frame minimum.
-I would have given the Decepticons a few victories. I mean come on! Their toughest veterans can't beat a bunch of barely combat trained Autobots with minimal experience even once.
-I would have made Sari wrong from time to time.
-The key should be removed from the show.

 

I would have removed the "Autobots don't fly" thing. Makes the factions less sides in a war and more different species entirely.
I'm sure they could have come up with another reason for why the Autobots didn't have aerial alternate modes.

 

I'd just up the budget to get smoother animation, and kept it going past season 3.

 

Apart from, you know, Un-cancelling it and making a Season 4 happen, Absolutely nothing.
Animated is a Cult Classic among Transformers Fans. It was just a perfect mix of new and Fresh and Nostalgic at the same time. The Animation and Voice work was just top-notch stuff. Too bad Hasbro thought the movies were more worth their time than some Cartoon.

Added the other Constructions. Would have been funny if the reset were 100% Decepticons but Scrapper & Mixmaster would be on whatever side gave them the most oil. So when they do form Devestator, the Autobots offer oil & Devestator is rendered usless since 2 of his parts do not want to cooperate since it would mean not getting their oil. Also toys for the Constructicons.

 

Make it into an anime parody of transformers.

 

Have Season 4.

Why? The Decepticons didn't give them the technology so they had to work it out themselves, it makes sense, it wasn't a species thing. And we did get the first flying Autobots in Jetfire and Jetstorm.

 

They had the technology to fly. They had spaceships.

The reason Autobots didn't fly in Animated was part of their culture. It's something the decepticons did, not the autobots. Same with carrying guns.

 

To be honest, I was very happy with Animated as it was. I suppose I'd just add conclusions to the missing links, such as Soundwave's fate or Slipstream, which I guess could be done if I said: Add a Season 4  

Either way, I'm happy with the show  

 

Less cartoony animation.

I would have changed the animation, voices, and characterization.

 

Given it a bigger budget for animation, especially for episodes like Megatron Rising Part 2.

Really that's all it needs. If every episode looked like Home is where the Spark is, that show would be stunning.

Exactly, Autobots were working class, and largely featured uncombative alt modes and tools instead of weapons. They upheld that Transformers were not to be a violent war-oriented race and their lack of traditional weaponry or flying alternate modes represented that.

 

Not just that, but like most things in this show, flying can also be considered a superpower. Autobots are not compatible with Decepticon code, apparently one of the things they need for flight. The added side effect with the Jet twins was enhanced strength and the power to combine. The entire thing was treated as a character getting a super-soldier serum.  

That's what I love about this show. It's a superhero cartoon dressed up with robot synonyms.

 

That's different. For instance, you may have the technology to make motorcycles, but do you have the Technology to turn me into a working motorcycle?

 

Better animation and much better art design.
