"Why hello! What's that? You're saying that you're my biological daughter? ...oh yeah, I remember, 18 years ago, I donated some sperm to buy a masterpiece Megatron."

That's hilarious. I still have three of them from when I was ordering wholesale. All anybody wanted was Cosmos for some reason. You should try shopping on eBay though if Scamazon is too expensive. Scamazon prices are high because fees are high, they side with buyers even with delivery confirmation, and, most importantly, shoppers don't look anywhere else.

I believe it was @Fallout who shared with me a rather ...interesting... story he'd seen regarding Overlord.

If you can make it twice a week it's 70 a week here. My schedule only allows me to do twice every other week. Sometimes they have bonuses for your second donation of the week and if you can get 8 in a month. I don't get those.

I'm still trying to save for Trypticon. Other figures have got in the way along with other things.

If I really want a Transformer, and if I have the money, I'll just suck it up and pay the price, rather than letting it go.

I will do extra work and chores to get a Transformer, but I won't risk bodily injury, life, limb, friends, family, or pets. Some things are very much more important than plastic toy robot action figures. :)

I've got enough savings that if I really, really want an expensive Transformer I can buy it with no problems. But I've got savings because I try to spend money wisely, so if something is only available with a large markup from retail price I tell myself that I lost my chance and go on with my life. There are always new shiny things to buy to satisfy plastic addiction.

With the prices on MP's these days you have to be a bit wrong in the head to pay them and yet I do.

    What would I do?

In the cheap hollow plastic era is difficult to pay full price for a Transformers.

What I do is to wait for a good discount in many cases but there are figures that are hard to find nowadays, like the POTP series because of the poor distribution so I pay full retail price when I see them. Studio Series has a better distribution and we can see a lot of units on Amazon, it is not the same with POTP.

For example, it is really difficult to pay 70 for a POTP Leader Optimus. The concept of this Optimus Prime is new and fresh but the cheap hollow plastic syndrome is strong in Optimus. A figure with this quality doesn't really have more value than the full retail, and is even hard to pay it.

I would get a job so I could buy them.
Spend 30$ dollars on Cogman, Triggerhappy or Hot Rod TR.
Overpay a bit for Studios Grimlock/Blackout.(60$ is max)

What would I do for a Transformer?

I would talk to it. And sing to it.
And say comforting, nurturing things to it.
No, I wouldn't sleep with it.
And I would play it uplifting 60's songs.

There's a number of nice things I could do for a Transformer.

I know right. I don't think I'll get any of the new Decepticon MPs because their so high.

What would I do? Well I'd either buy it if I had the money for it or if not then I'd toss it on the ever growing list of figures I would like to one day own. Bottom line these are just figures and not something I need to live(part of me would say otherwise but that part is constant timeout). It would be great to get everything I want, but there's just never going to be enough money or space no matter what I do so I just do my best to get what I really want.

Honestly, I just do my best to try and save up. I try to ease on the spending a LOT. I'm getting a job sometime soon so I hope to really make money there and just get what I need. For toys that are doubled the price, I pick them up depending on if I think it's worth it or if I'm desperate.

    Ebay:
Okay so slightly off-topic but a good friend of mine recently looked into donating sperm and (at least here in Michigan) the requirements are stupid strict. I totally understand why, but from what he told me it was to the point where even with my comparatively minor health issues I probably wouldn't be eligible to donate.

    Bit of a let down.
