This is clearly a very important release for longtime collectors. You may remember the train wreck that was that RTS wave's distribution or have been disappointed with the detailing if you did manage to find it. The US market reissue's infamous sneer and lack of an MP announcement limiting the options for Jazz toys may also be a factor. While we all hope this will be a stellar home run for Hasbro and fans, it's probably prudent not to let those hopes get _too_ high.

Feel free to add any of your own fears that I might've missed. And, yes, I know this is not an "SS86 Jazz Appreciation POSITIVE THOUGHTS ONLY" sort of thread. Just interested in what people are expecting with how some of the other figures in the WFC trilogy have turned out thus far.

    OPTIMISM!!

I honestly think the unpainted white looks a tad bland but it'll probably be better in natural light.

Being able to find it is the only one that comes to mind.

I think he looks good in the photos. No Jazz will ever be worse than the Pretender inner robot. At least his Actionmaster fit in the shell.

Actually I stand corrected. What's wrong is he won't have his Pretender shell.

His paint is definitely plainer than I'd like but assuming Toyhax makes a set to add his missing stripes and sponsor decals and fix his number he'll be pretty much perfect. I'll panel line him too to make the white molded details stand out more, and paint the expose mushroom pegs on his front wheels silver.

other than no wrist rotation, from what i can see "unless its a folding hinge with a mushroom peg, we have seen those very few though" and needing a shoulder mount for his missile, he looks fantastic.

The only thing I've seen more than one complaint about is the door-wing-option. Think we need to wait for in-hand samples first.

It will have political propoganda on the door.

If anything, I think he'll be shortpacked... Maybe painted tires.

I think the figure looks decent, but my problem is it has the paint job of a 2008 Legends figure. Alot of paint details are missing, which makes Jazz feel a little naked. Also the feet are at the truck at the car and makes it stick out like a sore thumb.
I think the headsculpt is good (even if I wish they gave Jazz light piping and didn't make it look like the visor was fused to his face.) And aside from a few nitpicks, they nailed the G1 Jazz design. I feel it looks better than the POTP Jazz, even if it was based on a different car and the combiner gimmick held it back. One thing I noticed are the doors folded up, so I think it's possible Jazz can switch between Chad G1 toy Jazz and virgin animation model Jazz.
I would not be surprised if this is a heavy retool of the POTP Jazz.

Too early to tell, hope it’s build quality is as good as the figure looks to me. Aside a loose joint on my RTS Jazz, that’s a very hard figure to replace, made right before the big budget cuts started. So I’m already expecting this not to be on par since it’s not really a fair comparison, increased price aside.

Plus while that speaker gimmick on RTS Jazz wasn’t on the G1 figure, it was neat to me.

Based on what I see in the pics...he just looks cheap. Plain, simple, hollow forearms and those goddamn clip-on wheels. He looks like a decent rendition of 80’s animated Jazz...just cheap looking.

I didn't see "Questionable deco choices" among the options.

I'm choosing to be optimistic here, because I think he looks pretty much perfect. The deco's what I would call "close enough" to the original, especially given the original was based on a specific real car.

As for stuff like the clip on wheels or hollow forearms, that's not anything I'm bothered by.

I'm just happy to have a new Jazz at all.

The biggest problem is lack of (optional) door wings preventing is from having a G1-accurate Stepper.
