For the people new to the series, that's fine.

I was more thinking that people used to the franchise might be filling in their own version of Cliffjumper based on previous knowledge of the character in other continuities.

A little snipping from the original quote..but agreed on the memory loss and Miko's brain freezes :D
Really would like to have just one line from Soundwave as well...maybe Season 2.
    Love the backstories :thumb
The dang snowball...well, now he has a great excuse, he doesn't REMEMBER!! :D

Season 2's delay isn't the biggest shocker, but IT is up there! :(

    Hang on...

    Season 2 delayed? Now that's a shocker.

Anyway, for me the shocks were how grim some of the fatalities are. Ok kids shows always show characters sword fighting and so on. But this saga you actually see them kill each other too.
Makes a change for a kids show.

Another surprise was, I didn't think the writers would go so deep into the 'Primus' and Cybertron origins. To be honest I never liked the idea of Primus. But credit to the writers. They are trying to please as many TF fans as they can.

And the use of Unicron being Earth's core. A very interesting story. Perhaps another hidden message to the movie writers as to how they could have used Unicron.

-Starscream is actually the most competent Starscream, ever
-Wheeljack knows how to make things blow up, without being caught in the blast
-Megatron doesn't operate by the old 80's standards, and uses more of a calculating approach, like his BW successor (ludicrous super weapons, retreating, plans requiring princeples being ******ed)

The show being as good as it is.
And the ending to season one, my jaw had fallen off by the time it was over.

Also I didn't know season 2 was delayed until now, that kind of a shock.

DonĀ“t forget this is probably the scariest incarnation of Megatron to the date (even more that in the Bayverse movies).

What really took me in this show is how adult a lot of the themes are. There's some real thinking to be done in Prime. Torture and post-traumatic stress, loss, hope, and in some parts some real conflict. I just wish the conflict and tension stayed though in some episodes. There never seemed to be any real consequences after big events in the show. Remember that one part where Bulkhead might not have made it? Deus Ex Machina ending and then suddenly everyone forgot about it. Bulks wasn't even affected...like it never happened.

Tension and conflict are great methods to move a story, especially the kind of story Prime has. I hope in season 2 the writers really think about this more and take it to heart!

What they really need to do is have it structured somewhat like Avatar: The Last Airbender. That has to be possibly the greatest cartoon every made, storywise, and to an extent, conceptually.

Wasn't the story in A:tLA structured into groups based on what elements Aang had to master?

Well true she never REALLY moved on from her past and inner demons just yet. I never said she had moved on either. What I said that she didn't want Bumblebee to do something reckless that could get him killed over Raf's near fatal injury! She could've killed Starscream on the spot with Bumblebee watching but she knew if she did she'd have lost Bumblebee's friendship and maybe even risk alienating Jack because of it. So far while she didn't move on from her past just yet she IS showing signs of her caring for her teammates more than usual and what they do. If you want to make a character who has vengeful problems likeable and want to care what happens. Having her give in to her obsession is not the right way to go especially when she is one of the first female Autobots to have a major role in a long time. It's best if she stuggles to overcome her demons and come out the better for it. It's just my thoughts man nothing more so you don't have to agree!:thumb

I meant structured that we'd have stories to develop the plot, and have a filler in between, just so things don't get too chronological for a first-time viewer.

I think we're getting something like that next season. Or so is the impression I've gotten from the interviews.

That's great to hear!:thumb  As much as I like Season 1 it does have it's flaws though thankefully not major. So I hope Season 2 does a LOT better with the stories and episodes!:D

June Darby's a little bit creepy. For instance, the episode when she's lamenting how Jack is drifting away from her. She said that they had "always been close" after his dad left.

It'd be hard to have a mom that hot and not get a boner.

How is that creepy? I find it more messed up if a mother didn't feel close to their child who was drifting away. Unless by "always been close," you meant that other route I'm thinking. It that's the case it would be more creepy how June states how Arcee is the girl Jack is leaving her for.
