so I just watched darkest hour and I was thoroughly surprised. so I decided to make a list of the things we know for sure. for sure dead/lost/destroyed dreadwing polarity gauntlet apex armour spark extractor that stasis lock thing bulkhead had autobot base autobot space bridge possibly dead/lost/destroyed/alive optimus prime star sabre wheeljack airachnid things to note unless they find the allspark itself cybertron is a totally lost cause megatron has a fortress in nevada the american government is probably pissed about this none of the kids parents know where their kids are now if alive, optimus could very well be missing an arm the autobots do not have a means of contacting one another unless they took a really long drive. so yeah, if I'm missing anything let me know
Yes! In the first episode, they were able to communicate with each other even though they were scattered across different time zones! But I doubt they will, considering Soundwave is still around.
We don't know for sure that the items in bold are lost for good. We might assume, so, but we don't know for sure. I have some really big doubts over these, as the fate of these things all take place off camera. Didn't Optimus say that the Omega Lock channeled the power of the Allspark? That being the case, the Allspark (in Transformers Prime) is on Cybertron. The power to revive Cybertron is still on Cybertron. How to channel the power now that the lock is gone is the real mystery. Though if the Matrix of Leadership is still a key to Vector Sigma and if Vector Sigma still has the ability to channel the Allspark as it did in G1 (they didn't call it that, but it did have the power to give life to Cybertronians), there is another way to channel that locked away power. The Autobots DO have the means to contact one another--June showed us how they'll most likely do so in the season finale: cell phones Going old school will likely keep them off the Decepticons radar, as everyone living being on the planet uses similar cell phones.
We also know that Fowler and June are hanging out in a helicopter relatively close to where the cons are. So there's that.
wheeljack's ship is probably trashed and I can't say about the forge, it could be destroyed or optimus could have saved it, I got nothing. guess the quote ratchet: the keys were our last hope of reviving cybertron optimus: no, there is another . . .
Seriously? No one? ... Jack.... Jack... There is... another... Dar... by... *Optimus powers off and goes dark. A few moments later, he fades away and becomes one with the all spark*
I don't recall the autobots relics were lost. They threw them in the center of the ring for the duel that they were having on cybertron but I don't recall seeing them get destroyed am I wrong or misinterpreting something
Yeah, I wondered about that too. They never showed whether the Decepticons picked them up or not after the Autobots fled....
As far as I can recall, Soundwave has never been able to intercept their comlink transmissions. If he could, he would have located their base a long time ago. Arcee even contacted Ratchet from INSIDE the warship, and the Decepticons never noticed. My guess is the Autobots constantly switch frequencies to avoid detection. Soundwave was able to jam their signals in "Legacy" but that doesn't mean he knows what frequencies they use. He could have just jammed them all.
Soundwave can intercept messages when they're out of the base. He did it a few times. I really think that the cellphone contact will be a better choice here. He can get those too, sure, but he has to find them among billions of phone calls everywhere. They'll just have to find Smokescreen/Ratchet and then stick to them.
I think you are right the power source for the restoration of Cybertron is still a part of Cybertron the only thing Prime seems to have messed up was the device that allowed them to harness that power to repair the planet. If the writers ever needed to revive Cybertron it seems like all they would need is another way to harness that energy. The thing that sort of bothers me is they name dropped Constructions so you have to wonder if energy isn't the problem it just rebuilding the planet then with the long life spans of the robots why didn't one side or the other just send a team to start rebuilding the place?
They can rebuild the place, I'll imagine. Ratchet mentions that while the Omega Lock would restore the core, they would need to manually rebuild most of the planet (excluding the area around the Omega Lock itself, as shown by that building) Problem is, rebuilding the planet alone isn't good enough. The Core provides Energon, and without Energon, Cybertron cannot sustain life and would still essentially be a corpse. Just a much better looking corpse.
unless the Autobots have the Ark parked somewhere, the odds of the Autobots having even half of their resources are slim without it. Or if Magnus/ Dinobots/ Wreckers show up, or maybe the government has another Autobot team out there, and Team Prime wasn't the only one
