Mine was JustiToys add-on for MP-05 Megatron, Impossible Toys Trans-01 Arcee, What a piece of crap, and Fans Project City Commander w/ a KO classics ultra magnus, but it was the beginning of the Third Party craze!!

 

Mine was the fansproject upgrade set for the not-so-superior hasbro superion originally from the energon series. Shortly following that was their blast off and swindle for the hasbro bruticus set.

 

All 5 MFT dinobots (gold, not yellow), plus IF Jetfire and Warpath. All on the same day.

I'd been vaguely aware of non-HasTak stuff for some time (hell, I bought myself an Astro Magnum from a newsagent way, way back), but had never really looked into it (because Transformers toys were something from the deep dark past). And then on a whim (there was a reason, but I'm damned if I can recall what it was now) I looked again in November... and decided that I could have that collection of G1 figures I always wanted as a kid but could never have had - and better yet, they looked the way they always should have done  

Really happy to be able to get Transformers that are simply better in every way. Will be really, really happy to throw lots of money at New Age, Iron Factory, DX9, Magic Square, and Mech Fan Toys  

 

TFC Hercules 5-6 years ago....was my step down the TF rabbit hole again after getting out around '93/'94...

 

Mine was Unique Toys' War Hawk.

 

It was a triple purchase in quick succession:
- Cloud 9’s Quakeblast
- KFC’s Opticlones
- DX9’s Mightron

 

Badcubes' Wardog followed by XTB Apollyon were my entry level figures into 3P, and to my sensibilities still represent those characters better than any of the competition... and probably explains why I'm so forgiving of most difficult transformations since.

LOL, these were my first as well. I thought the price was OK but it took SO LONG to get them. I ordered like right at the beginning of Chinese New Year.

 

The justitoys wst Dinobots. Bought em to go with my Hybrid Style Convoy all those years ago because he was so cool but nothing else really went with him at the time. Strange considering the new legends stuff is all I buy now.

 

I dont regret it. I held on to him as long as I could. Sold him to buy Koot and, decided to wait for XTB.

Hands down, my worst third party purchase was the FansProject Warbot Defender. Floppy, looks bad, and heavy in all the wrong places.

Also my first.

 

Ocular max sphinx. Still a big fan of the figure too! Definitely sent me down a rabbit hole. With way too many branches I keep discovering...

Still have mine. In fact, I still consider him my primary Kup. But, admittedly, I am one of those cray-cray collectors who hangs on to everything he has bought the past...oh, hell, I just realized I've been at this the better part of 20 years. Sheesh.
