Well, a bombshell hit this morning for those who wished this mold would be made: So the question becomes, what variants of this mold would you consider buying? Lugnut, Megatron's zealot: Straxus: IDW Jhaixus SG Straxus, the Bard of Darkmount:
Is there any question? Lugnut, of course. Though I wouldn't mind seeing Depth Charge and maybe Jhiaxus. Super happy to hear that this mold could see the light of day. Let's hope it's worth the wait!
Love Animated & love Return To Cybertron, so I'd be all over both Lugnut & Straxus. I believe IDW Lugnut was seen in the background with Deszaurus's team in Dying of the Light in MTMTE recently as well.
It's cool if this thing does make it out, but honestly none of the options listed excite me and I can't think of another character that would work well with this mold. Skyquake is the one that catches my eye the most I guess, but that doesn't mean that's what I want from this mold. The Lugnut version of the design looks really good, don't get me wrong, but I'm perfectly happy with the RtS & United Lugnuts and wasn't really looking for another one.
I'm hip to Lugnut, and the only reason I'd want something else is that my Decepticons are getting more and more purple all the time. And I think of Lugnut as the RTS toy visually. I think this mold works really really well as Depth Charge, and that'd mix it up on the shelf a bit. My choices are often driven by aesthetics and not by character, so if we see a Jhaixus made from this and it looks bitchin, I could easily bite, even though I have no idea who Jhaixus is. I just really really like the mold.
Lugnut for sure. But perhaps also a classics-styled Blackout; that'd be cool, depending on the size. How big is this supposed to be?
