I feel there's a vast wealth of Transformers stories that would be perfect to adapt into film. However, the Live-action films seem to be focused on original stories, so films based off of prexisting stories would have to be in the realm of direct-to-video films, much in the same vein as the DC animated movies like Justice League: The Flashpoint Paradox, Injustice, and All-Star Superman.

It would be very cool if Hasbro could take some of the stories from old comics, video games, and shows and repackage them in a film format.

I think an adaptation of All Hail Megatron would be pretty cool. If I recall correctly, IDW was actually pitched an AHM motion comic, but they turned it down. The brief video of it is still online... somewhere, I think.

Target: 2006 is an obvious choice, but I think it'd make for a pretty cool movie. Structurally you'd have to change it a little bit, maybe cut some things down, but overall I think it'd work.

Last Stand of the Wreckers would be cool to see animated. It is a mostly standalone story, so it wouldn't be too difficult to kinda bring the audience up to speed, so I think it works.

 

Movie length OVA of the Linkage manga expanding on the Micron lore of Micron Legend. Bring back Abe Munetaka-san as art director and key frame animator. Maybe animated by studio Sunrise.

IMO it's a must-read for Armada/Micron Legend fans. Would love to see it animated.

I wasn't a huge fan of All Hail Megatron mainly because there were so few Decepticons but we're expected to believe they're a major threat to the planet. However if the movie featured legions of Seekers, Vehicons and other Army Builders it would be more convincing and make for large scale battles.

 

The better DC animated movies usually worked when they adapted a story that wasn't particularly good in the first place and the changes brought about via adaptation actually did a bit to make the adaptation superior to the original work, so I'd think I'd follow that in mind;

You could do a cool duology adapting War Within as an Optimus-centric origin story with a follow-up doing Megatron: Origins as a prequel. Since I think that was the original intent of Megatron: Origins.

All Hail Megatron is another candidate.

Maybe an anthology film adapting the Spotlight issues or stories from the Galaxies mini.

 

Because of its catharsis as anarchy, as a philosophy that's technologically feasible, I would venture that the G1 episode of Rodimus being in daniel's bedroom, wherein Daniel dreams is a good candidate for a movie deconstruction (not however, that the movie need adapt the same storyline of what Daniel dreams about)

I'd like to say each of the -ations blocks would make good movies, and I'd throw in a miniseries with the Spotlights in it. Except Spotlight: Arcee. It deserves its own film.

I think the Dreamwave arcs would work really well.

Prime Directive might need some rewriting of certain character Dialogue though. And WW dark ages probably needs two movies as it is steady rushed as it is.
