I know there are the triple changers that can change into 3 things, but I remember a commercial from back in the day for a transformer that could change into like somewhere between 5 and 12 different things, I can't remember the specific number. Does anybody know the name of this transformer? It's been bugging me for a very long time. Thanks

You might be thinking of Robots in Disguise Galvatron, who has 10 forms. Not all are equally convincing.
It's a repaint / retool of Car Robots Gigatron / RiD Megatron, which officially only has six modes, but can 'do' all ten modes Galvatron can.

G1 Sixshot, G1 Greatshot and G1 Quickswitch all have have six official modes, although Sixshot has a semi-official seventh mode ('wingwolf').

    Sixshot - 1987 Transformers - TFW2005

    Gigatron - Transformers Car Robots - TFW2005

Devil Gigatron - Transformers Car Robots - TFW2005

    Probably one of these.

Car Robots Gigatron could do 6 modes, and was retooled slightly for Devil Gigatron who could do a tenuous 10 modes. IIRC when Hasbro did RID Megatron they used the retool for Devil Gigatron so their 'Megatron' could actually do the ten modes that only the Japanese Devil Gigatron could.

Back then a Hasbro figure (RID Megatron over CR Gigatron) being better than the Takara version was unthinkable, yet there he was.

The Scaplet figures from Cybertron have dozens of unofficial modes.

Well, for conventional modes, you can go beyond the standard TF six-changer and try Brave's Seven-Changer:

The RID Megatron mold with it's 10(11?) modes, which I still want to see done up as TM2 Megatron.
